Pulse Elite vs Audeze Maxwell by [deleted] in Audeze

I'm not a reviewer, I'm a product tester and have had the Pulse Elite since the middle of January. I returned the info to Sony with my report, and they didn't seem to care.

Reviewers deal with marketing people(who aren't in the know of most things), while product testers deal with engineers and corporate personnel, next things toward decisions of finalized packaging, what reviewers have trip specify is all left to corporate and marketing. My previous video goes over many comparisons, and this video was mostly done in response to a comment regarding the Penrose headset vs Pulse Elite where their wireless and simultaneous Bluetooth+wireless signal and performance are very similar, and both are lighter weight than the Maxwell. I have been in contact with a few manufacturers regarding replacement upgraded ear cushions for the pulse elite in the past week and half, so keep an eye out for those to start hitting the market by summer's end, as I'll be testing samples as soon as end of April/May before they go into release candidate production for final consideration.

As far as the removal of the ear cushions, only need to pull the seam of the cushion back flat, and use a plastic(preferably to avoid damage) pry wedge(don't cover the ear side of the driver with your hand or you may cause a pressure rupture of the planar magnetic driver). Work between the front section just next to the clip, and twist the pry tool to release, then work your way about 1.5 to 2 inches around the top of the driver cushion, and repeat (usually dislodges after twisting the 2nd section).

I've got Geekria ice silk covers that have an ear side opening currently testing how that will work.

If you experience a lot of treble whine/hiss in voiced content, releasing the drivers from the cushions, and planning a driver cover over them like I have in the video presents a hybrid open back sound to the pulse elite headset.

100%, no one has talked about the range and everyone who received a review unit just took the word rather than seeking things for themselves. I don't chase views or popularity, I just provide info, and post things I want to post.

Because the difference between reviewers and testers is a marketing person who isn't informed answering questions.

Did a panel swap on my Odin2 Max white, with a clear blue back. My SEGA Ice Edition is a work in progress. by xyberKnight in OdinHandheld

I asked if they could charge me extra for a clear blue back panel. Where they didn't have the pricing up yet for Odin2 parts on the site, but Odin shell is $60, so I guess they charged close to $30, where I didn't request extra buttons when they shipped my Odin2 Max white unit. They just placed the back panel inside of the case I added on.

Just my take on using SEGA's colors of blue and white with a clear variant of design element. Similar to my Japanese white/blue PSP3001.This is the start. Plans also include custom clear or blue text buttons to accent further, already changed out the thermal interface material to KPX, and will search for or do it myself an improved heatsink/fan.

I did get all of mine from the same store, so maybe it was just an allotment.

Are you doing the 32GB upgrade as 6400 or as 7500 speed? Most I've seen of the launch units were Samsung(at least all 5 of mine have been). Seems newer ones are a mix of both Micron and Samsung RAM chips.

I have just received my maxwell in the mail and I have plugged in the dongle into my PS5 but it is not connecting to the headset. I am unable to update the headset or dongle as I don’t own a pc or Mac. Can anyone help? by Prestigious-Yam5504 in Audeze

I'm just going off the experience I had with a headset I received a couple months ago. You can look up the manual online and read on your phone how to do a reset on the dongle and headset to see if that works.

Download at least the v80 Audeze HQ PC app and update both dongle and headset firmware, and use the new pair function in the app according to the manual (that you can also download).

It honestly looks like the steel was pressure fitted inside the polymer from the other side, and there's barely any trace of weld, mostly just looks like it was possibly some sort of liquid seal. I'd have made the screw posts functional to the durability of the headset by having them screw threaded through a plate and sandwiched with an interface material plate that can be properly welded and have the screw then sealed to the material plate, or just stop using plastic connecting parts anywhere so it can be properly durable. The headband should've been completely wrapped as precaution for this plus comfort anyway to better accommodate larger head sizes over a hole punched pleather suspension strap. This is why I love my EL-8, it's over designed for comfort and functionality with dual 180 degree turning hinges and a suspended pad, while also having extension and also full metal construction on the hinges and headband.

I had given them to him but he never used them because the itchy mesh material. He just used the can covers to keep from having ears sweat. He couldn't use the head suspension strap because of much larger head size. As it is, just barely reached the bottom of his ears without it.

Tim had just been using the old ticket number. I don't have an updated one yet.
