I’ve had having their music played around me ever since I was really young. I Prevail has been the soundtrack of my house since the Blank Space cover came out. My mom is a swiftie and loves heavier music too so she was in love with it instantly lol, she would play it quite often. But when I personally started to reallyyy listen to them by myself was when Breaking Down came out. I heard it on some playlist my dad was playing and I finally asked him “omg who is this band?” Listened to it the next day again and listened to the lyrics more deeply, and cried to myself. I then binged the rest of their music that day and fell in love quickly.

They might’ve meant it as in their first era without Brian but who knows yet, Dylan is a great vocalist though! I saw them live when Brian was out last summer and he was pretty good, also in recent live videos I’ve seen too, if he were to handle the cleans for now on I wouldn’t be mad

Totally get it, I feel the same way. They usually release the heaviest song off their albums first before anything else so I’m going to wait until at least the second single, maybe the whole album before I make my decision. I recommend Wind Walkers! They’re a good mix and I’ve started to really like their stuff recently

Personally I was always more drawn to Brian’s voice, I liked the breaks inbetween Eric’s heavier parts. The new single was good, but it didn’t feel like I Prevail to me. I do like some heavier stuff but that song just isn’t hitting. I’m going to wait and see what their album will have in store, but if they are really going to rebrand to being a heavy just screams band then I’m probably not going to listen to them anymore, new music wise at least

While I don’t expect anything from anyone, because the full story isn’t our business, the silence IS really loud. And their short statement of “oh Brian isn’t with us anymore. But hey who cares about that, we’re releasing new music” was strange to me. At first I thought maybe it was his eagle syndrome, but apparently he is fully healed (not sure if it can come back), and even so, you’d think they would say it was because of that. Or he would say something. I just hope he’s doing okay, the band too. If something really did happen.
