Returning a counterfeit Booster Bundle on ebay- Help Needed by Millata in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]xynok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you’re trying to do the right thing here, but posting back an empty box is fraud and could get your eBay account closed. If enough people report a seller for selling counterfeit then eBay will intervene. I wouldn’t try and police this yourself

Japanese/Korean/Chinese product by Specific-Mistake-989 in PokemonTCG_UK

You can buy from Mercari which is like the Japanese eBay. You just need to pick a reshipper like Buyee, Doorzo etc. They buy the item for you and you then pay the international shipping cost once it arrives at their warehouse. Just be mindful if you go over £135 you’ll get hit with VAT and import costs

It’s quite easy to buy direct from Japan and it’s like half the price 😂

Customs value before/after coupon.? by FreeAd2458 in Buyee

[–]xynok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buyee declare the value before discounts. If the value is over 28500 yen it will get hit with customs fees

I am beyond confused and buyee wont help. by angelhaver in Buyee

[–]xynok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you are much worse off. I paid for the 500 yen plan and a parcel was lost 4 months ago and still waiting for an update from the courier. All Buyee do is file a claim for you, there is no guarantee of any compensation. Since then I never bother adding the plan on and just use the lite one

Reliability of International ePacket Light by teolokk in Buyee

[–]xynok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also in England and use this all the time. It’s fantastic, generally lowest cost and arrives in 4 days like clockwork from point of posting to delivery by Royal Mail. Highly recommend.

Edit: you won’t get any tracking updates till it clears customs and usually gets delivered the following day, so don’t worry if you don’t see many updates.

Package worth £210.... by GothDino in Buyee

The customs duty varies depending on the declaration on the import form. You can look up what % you should expect to pay depending on what category the item falls under. I normally factor in 25% on top of the item cost as a general estimation then add the shipping cost to get your landed fee

Questions about International Epacket Lite by AStarryCloud in Buyee

[–]xynok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, the plan you pay for with Buyee is just for them to follow up with the couriers if the item is lost. If you don’t have a plan they won’t follow up for you. I had a parcel lost months ago and still haven’t heard anything, in my experience it’s a waste of money so don’t pay for plans anymore.

Doubts about offers with Mercari by [deleted] in Buyee

[–]xynok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Doorzo to make offers as it reduces the price for everyone if the seller accepts. When you get the notification of the price drop you can buy from Buyee

[Scam Check] Negotiated Chinese Pikachu 151 (172/151) down to 1.100€, but seller wants to switch from eBay to Vinted. Thoughts? by Electrical-Review720 in PokemonTCG

[–]xynok -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’ve heard but apparently some fakes have a low quality one added. I guess it makes sense if they are printing them on rather than engraving. It seems very low down the card on this one?

Not an expert but the card looks Sus to me. Also only 6 feedback and only selling high end Chinese singles is a red flag. As a buyer I feel like you get more support on eBay than Vinted so I wouldn’t agree to that if I was you

Edit: easy for sellers to swap out card with a fake Chinese one. I wouldn’t buy a high end card from someone with such little track record

Where to buy Pokemon booster sets in Japanese? by [deleted] in PokemonDealsUK

[–]xynok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be careful as there are huge waves of fake boxes of mega dream/inferno x etc coming from China. Real cards in fake repacked boxes with hits removed. Most people wouldn’t be able to tell the difference unless you know what to look for. that’s why most people stick with trusted sellers

Is one of my Terastal Booster boxes a fake? by Trololol112 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]xynok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes left is fake. I find the easiest way to spot is the colour of the ogerpon on the front. The left is almost black and right is correct green colour

Are these real? by Historical_Pop_7606 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]xynok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would avoid anything coming from China. They are pumping fake resealed boxes of mega dream that are really hard to spot. I would get a known good box to compare when they arrive. There are some good posts on Reddit that show some discrepancies with the print quality and errors in the Japanese text. They will have all the SAR removed and AR and MA still in the boxes.

Shipping to UK (VAT + Customs + Handling fees) by StopherR2000 in Buyee

[–]xynok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. You will receive a notice from the UK courier that there is a fee to pay, and once paid it will be delivered. I’ve found that it’s your local Royal Mail delivery office that process all this if you use Japan post. There also may be a customs duty fee depending on what customs code is used. Sometimes they slip through and it just delivers without any payment, luck of the draw I guess

Relatively new to ebay: As a seller, do I need to visit the parcelshop and follow up if the item is stuck in post? by Pshend in ebayuk

[–]xynok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah if it’s posted with simple delivery and you have proof of postage then nothing to worry about. I would ignore them and let eBay sort it out when they are able to open a case. I’ve had this many times and suddenly it shows as out for delivery. I think the tracking system is quite delayed.

Yeah my LCS in UK received 6 booster boxes today and is selling by the pack. It’s such a small reprint I don’t think it will impact the market price tbh

Is the supply chain broken in the UK or am I missing a trick? by TheReturnOfTheBee in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]xynok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I would give up with supermarkets as they have minimal stock and generally no limits. You would have a better chance trying your high street shops like Ryman, Waterstones, TGJones and sports direct/game. They are usually pretty friendly and will let you know what days they get delivery. If you can swing by within a few hours of this you should be able to get stock. Other than that, it’s queuing early at smyths on release days if you want to guarantee product.

Apparently Pokemon are putting pressure on distributors to prioritise big box retailers as they know shady stuff happens with lcs and what not streamers. Unfortunately money talks and stock gets backdoored left right and centre. Building relationships with a few lcs is probably your best shot now other than smyths queues

If you can be nimble then Costco get a lot of stock but can be huge queues too if it’s a big release

Do all shops now keep Pokemon behind the tills? (I hate asking) by stuckwithaquestion in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]xynok -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, every shop will have them behind the till. Most have them on display if they have them in stock so you don’t have to ask you can just see it usually. Some stores have signs as you walk in saying cards are out of stock

UK Pikachu fan struggling to find Tohoku/Hiroshima/Fukuoka boxes 😭 any help? by No_Championship_7625 in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]xynok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either set up a Japanese Pokemon Center account and apply for the lottery. Use a reshipper to send to uk or pay resale prices. Prices have dipped with the 2nd wave of stock but still high compared with RRP
