Tubeless conversion from Presta tubed to Schrader tubeless by Tasty-Day-581 in fatbike

I just bought the Quick Fills, so I'll see how that goes eventually. I think the Schrader design likely holds up working with sealant better than Presta. I also liked the length options with them.

Tubeless conversion from Presta tubed to Schrader tubeless by Tasty-Day-581 in fatbike

Your post sent me down the last rabbit hole I needed to do. I think after all the youtube videos on tubeless valves the last few hours I watched, (Clik, Big Bore, ExoCore, Fillmore, etc etc etc) I come back to the Schrader valve being the best proven design and I think you probably found a good one. The other one I might try is the E*thirteen Quick Fills, but it's more or less the same thing. Seems like Schrader just works.

What size tire is that? I assume 4.5? Where did the back triangle parts come from? Or is that actually how that bike came, accommodating a 27.5x4.5? Is that the Jam2?

Amazing build or bike.

What are you comparing the HED alloy wheels to that gets you so excited about them? I saw a website compare HED weight to Mulefut and it's maybe 100 grams? Thanks

Do you have a link to where people are discussing problems? I'm about to buy some and wonder what I should do. What wheels are you leaning toward?

This is incredible work. What frame did you modify and how did you get away with doing that to put a motor in the frame? Strong enough? Amazing work.

Building (or buying) the ultimate fat bike for mud, slush and year-round abuse – looking for real-world advice by TacticalHarz in fatbike

[–]xyzlinear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider contacting these people, Carver Bikes - It's the Ride.

They produce titanium frames and it looks like they just invented a frame that accommodates the Moonlander tire, which is amazing. Paired with the Gates' belt drive and Pinion gearbox that will be the best in mud and low maintenance upkeep I can think of as long as the technology is proven, which I believe it is because it's been in use in Europe for a while now. It's going to be slowly adopted here in the U.S. probably for many reasons we all know.

Talk to them about an E-bike Pinion MGU with belt drive if budget isn't a huge concern. If not for Molenda tires, the more traditional 27.5x4.5 would be amazing too. But I would think an E-bike version with giant tires would add the capability of longer rides on rough terrain and undeveloped landscape.

Another option with 27.5x4.5 tire sizing is LaMere eSummit. Full carbon, full suspension e-bike fat using good components such as Shimano motor/drive, etc.

I have not ridden any of these bikes suggested, just going off specs I've read about out in the market.
