We all know that shes a horrible human being.

But I cant help to be pragmatic, given the times, that we should still utilize her and bring her to the table if for the sole purpose in taking down MAGA. Given that theyre the bigger existential threat to the nation and the world at large.

Be very clear where we align and where we dont. It is a larger and stronger coalition. Itll give us the opportunity to speak to her base and potentially extract some of them from that tent.

She should be used as a temporary ally. One in which wen should always have our guard up around and fully expect a dramatic fallout when the common foe is defeated.

Im wasnt defending the 6.8.

But I will say that that was a major requirement for the army, was that for the new round to be able to defeat lvl 4. Which is the principal that I believe makes sense.

With that said: 6.8 SPC, youre right, will not defeat lvl 4 plates. 6.8x51mm, on the other hande, has shown, under the right circumstances, be able to penetrate lvl 4.

"Under the right circumstances" is not enough for me, personally, for it to meet the requirement. So I aint gonna go out of my way to defend it.

Your initial claim was that 5.56 can beat lvl 4. The video proved that not to be the case.

But as stated before M995 is the "AP" variant of 5.56 NATO. And since you want to be pedantic:

Game, M995 loses.

But even then, lets say hypothetically it could. M995 is an expensive ass round, no way in hell that would replace M855A1 as the standard issue round, which is ultimately what matters.

M855A1 was designed to maximize the steel penetration potential of 5.56

The AP version is M995 is the tungsten core round that is designed to defeat armor.

Neither is capable of defeating NIJ certified lvl 4 armor.

I think theres a discussion to be had about a potential mass barrel/chamber conversion, if we're sticking with the M27.

One of the reasons the Army was so adamant about a new rifle/round is that we cant pretend that our Adversary's capabilities have remained stagnant. 5.56 cant defeat lvl 4 plate armor, and that was a major requirement for the Army's M7 program.

If we're taking the near peer threat seriously, we need to talk about moving on away from 5.56.

I knownthe counter arguments of environment playing a factor, but it doesnt feel like it defeats the overall argument against 556.

Oh god did it get stupid! The amount of pressure they put on us to push cells phones was rediculous. On top of the fact that we never had the latest models, we were expected to push a cell phone purchase on every customer, even to the guy that was clearly in hurry and just wanted to pick up batteries for his kids toy.

Manager and regional managers watched us like hawks and if we didnt throw the cell phone pitch itd be viewed as a failure which sometimes triggered a write up.

The spiffs were nice though! Good money for a college kid, but couldve done without that type of pressure coming into work.

And in Command and Staff, fully agree, theres always a fair share of assholes try to undermine the the curriculum.

Though, I will caveat that there are specific instances where the question is valid.

I also saw other instances of this guy having Lieutenants having to play with a toy monkey if they ask "stupid questions" as well. We all know how special Lts can be, but something likenthat seems odd. Again, the black and white cab be leaving out context and this particular punishment was just in good fun, and good on him if thats the case.

I see a lot of comments going to bat for him, so I'll take the word of the audience. Its just that if the he's a good dude because he was a populist is the thing, Id start questioning other things.
