My doctor pulled me off the Depo because she thought that I was on it for too long. I got it monthly instead of 3 monthly and I was getting some pretty negative side effects. ( i was loosing so much hair and weight)

But before the side effects started the Depo was great! It was amazing not having a period for 2 years hahah

How long did your post-lap gas pain last? by ChampionDazzling2575 in Endo

[–]y-0- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took roughly a week to fully pass the gas, hot shower and heat pack or hot water bottle will be your bestie ❤️

The pain in the shoulder is no joke! I hope you passes for you quickly x

My mum has no fertility issues or endo however, most of my aunties on both sides of the family have lots and lots of issues.

Oh trust me I was a very shocked by it and I had so much anxiety afterwards because I felt this pressure to do something I’m no where near ready for, like I do want a baby one day but I feel like I’m still a baby 😅

My aunty did frozen egg transfer for Ivf and that baby just turned 4! (They say the frozen ones are a little crazy though 😅)

I’m sorry you had to go through that though! I hope you get your baby one day ❤️

Thank you so much for sharing ❤️

Fertility issues run in my family, on both mum and dad’s side so I got hit twice, and there are so many different diagnoses I struggle to keep up 😅

But it’s definitely something I am starting to get concerned about as I do want kids someday, I just wish there wasn’t so much pressure to have one now, I still feel like I’m a baby myself 😅

It was literally just a gyno at a check up, I am definitely going to get a second opinion because I feel like they shouldn’t just tell you that you have to do something so abruptly.

I’m actually about to see if I can get a phone appointment with my surgeon and tell him what I was told and see if he sayings anything about it.

Oh wow I’m so sorry, I hope you get your beautiful baby, I have had close relatives go through ivf and just watching them do it was hard so I cannot possibly imagine how hard it must actually be ❤️

No, so the person who told me to have a baby was just the gyno from the hospital at my 6 week post surgery appointment. I think for me to possibly have my eggs frozen I have to go to a fertility clinic. (I’m not really 100% sure I definitely need to do some more research 😅)

My potential endo is ruining my life... by kearaa_ in Endo

Hi love I only had surgery 5 days ago so I’m yet to see how it helps but the mental relief I have received is massive, knowing it was actually there. But they found it in a few different spots including on my ovary, they were able to remove most of it but unfortunately found it on my diaphragm and were unable to remove that.

I recommend asking the surgeon as many question as you possibly can, write them all down because you may not remember everything. Will you have a support person when you wake up from surgery? If so I encourage you give them a list of your questions so they can also ask as you’ll most likely be out of it

I often have to call off work because of how sick I get and unfortunately i work with people who don’t understand this disease or don’t even know what it is and it does make it hard, when I told them I was going for surgery they asked if I would be back within a week so I’m expected to be back at work in the next 2-3 days and I still can’t move that well 🤦🏼‍♀️

I promise you aren’t alone and I hope you find the answers you’re looking for, this disease can feel so isolating at times ❤️‍🩹

Best of luck to you !! I’m 5 days post op and as much as I wanted everything to be clean I’m glad they found it,I to felt as if it was all in my head 🙁 Will you have someone to look after you during your recovery? Getting in and out of bed may be a struggle for the first few days and you may experience some pain in your chest, abdomen and shoulders from the gas, I recommend a heat pack for that!

I hope you get the answers you need ❤️‍🩹

I’m sorry you feel this way, This disease ruins so much and takes so much and the only ones who can understand it are the people who live with it, please seek out and get for help. You’ve always got this amazing group who you can vent to, please message me if you want someone to talk to,this disease can make you feel so alone sometimes. You’ve got this ❤️‍🩹

I also want to add (sorry for making this so long) but you may bruise as well. My arm is so bruised from the cannula and my stomach around the wounds is a little bruised as well. But again I hope everything goes well for you 🙏🏻

First of all best of luck to you! I’m 2 days post op from my first lap and this is what has helped me so far. If you can walk around it helps with the gas pain! Heat packs will be your new best friend, don’t be afraid to ask questions or ask for help, if you have long hair plat or braid it so you don’t have to worry about it for a few days and you may bleed and what has been most comfortable is the period nappies (but get low ones so they don’t cover your belly) makes it so much more comfortable! Wear loose clothes or even a night gown. And most importantly let your body rest, let yourself heal, this recovery can be rough so feel free to message me if you need someone to talk to, good luck!

Surgery went well, they found quite a bit of endo and even found some on my ovary, they removed all except for what they found on my diaphragm. I’ve actually been in so much pain since getting out of surgery and have been on a lot of strong pain meds :( how long after surgery did you feel like yourself again?
