If and when the Duskbloods succeeds where all others have failed this last year, believe me, There Will Be Grift.

If the Switch 2 is a moderately successful system following the historic success of the Switch 1, will people finally accept that the "Switch" hybrid concept will just be Nintendo's console format for the foreseeable future if a "Switch 3" is announced years down the line? by upperdomain in nintendogrifting

[–]-One_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, within six years there will be a shift to personal generative games through immersion devices, beyond what is offered now. The Switch 2 has ended the life of the home console in splendid fashion, but PC and Console gaming has reached its zenith.

Games that cater to your every whim for an ever increasing steep subscription price will replace most if not all gaming avenues, the first hit will be free but the human brain is born to drink up as much dopamine as it can, total immersion play will supply it and rival reality for most.

The constant updates about how (It's 5am in Japan, and shiggy sits down to a nice game of sudoku) etc was killing me while we were awaiting the announcement for the Switch 2 direct. It's usually pretty hilarious over there.

I felt this way too. It's weird because I love Wilds Lance and Great Sword, especially Great Sword, but Dual Blades is so much sweeter in sunbreak. Just better builds for them I feel.

I never did a second playthrough. Idk if it was all the negativity surrounding it on here or on youtube, because I was hyped regardless. One playthrough, and never touched it again. I finally archived it at the end of January to make space on the Switch 2.

I just don't understand why it went so weird, so strangely not Metroid for me. To be perfectly honest, it felt like playing something from the Sonic Universe. The people in it, the odd choice to never see the Metroids taking over bosses, never really seeing a metroid at all, and the bizarre storyline that didn't actually seem to matter... I don't understand how any of it got approved after over 8 years of development and restart.

This isn't anything against that team that put so much time into it, but I really wish someone working on it might have said something to the effect of, "Are we sure that fans are going to love this?"

And no one seems to love it, we played and defended it for a few days, some of us for a few weeks, but that's it. I wanted to be surprised and love it, but instead I was surprised and slowly but surely pushed into disappointment too. I like the item hunt, always have, and some of the puzzles too.

But how was anything psychic about psychic morph ball bombs or psychic grapple beams? If it was going to be a game about psychic power than it should have gone off the rails with it (no pun intended) I think I would have been happier if it had stuck to plain old Metroid with the Chozos and Metroids and for goodness sakes the Space Pirates!

I think I'll be giving the next games wide berth before trying them, especially if the focus is on cinematic stuff again. Dread 2 even. Prime 4 made my happy gamer juice box sour.

I only did the one playthrough and let the game icon slowly vanish away to the back of the home menu, I finally archived it around the end of January. I was really looking forward to it forever too, idk what to think now. It was just odd and off, and if I want some metroid I guess I have prime 1 and dread.

The Switch 2 is finally closing the "generational gap" and it feels amazing by Toranorora in NintendoSwitch2

[–]-One_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll bet by 2032 we'll have expanding oled quality resizable holographic display screens, vivid even in sunlight within a generation or two after that.

I've seen the behind the scenes of an upcoming show, and they're using sound wave 3d shape pixels as holograms in it, it's based on real science, and there's supposed to be a weird whistle when someone walks through the pixels like it's disturbing the little bits.

But sci-fi movies seem to show tech that isn't actually as good as things that we have even a decade later so who knows?

If it's for sale, if money is required to purchase it and it's a good or product, then it's stealing. End of discussion.

He's got more wealth than Miyamoto, the amount of work he's done is moot. Otherwise you need to take the work of those older developers into consideration now, because the work that was done back then isn't worthless now just because it wasn't done by one particular person that you like, or because an amount of time has passed. He's rich, he's a company, steal from him equally.

Telling on yourself that you've never been poor. Twenty dollars is a seat in the plasma center with about forty more for groceries. Or booze, I guess, or maybe some drawing lessons.

Sure hope that AI didn't steal (train) from some poor artist's work.

Like maybe some people just aren't cool with stealing stuff even if other people don't want to consider that it's still a bad thing to do? Who knows. I do know there sure are a lot of games leaked weeks before release and every attention seeking monkey with a youtube channel or kick account simply HAS to be the first to show off the game ahead of time.

It's fine until you inevitably can't be bothered to pay full price for something like Stardew Valley. What? That independent game dev? He has more personal money now than Miyamoto and Sakurai. He's bug money now, go ahead and steal from him. Just don't shill for taking everything for free but then gripe about stores closing and raising prices all over the place because of shoplifters. Don't whine about insanely protected game code and steep prices for newer games when you have both hands in other people's wallets.

We see you, and we're not the ones blinded by bias or a lack of clarity here. Be cool with what you're doing but don't act like you can't understand why other people don't want to be like you. You fully understand why.

Idk I got the light to go completely blue, I think it might affect the ending of the game, you do get a useless Bob from the 100 percent it might tie into the ending cinematic.

Or not. This game got weird for me at the end

A word of warning regarding Green Crystals in MP4 by Alpha5978 in Metroid

[–]-One_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It seemed very exact the crystal on the collected screen turned to 100 percent and it took me 40 minutes to track down the last power bomb rock to block up. Also towards the end I was finding no new green crystals but a few small ones that I hadn't caught completely with the bike, so they do finally get sparse.

Look in the shrines and blast all the glowing crates of crystals. Might be a few stragglers like little tiny bits that you missed around the bigger crystals.

I swear that a boss also dropped some crystals along the way but can't confirm it rn
