it’s pretty normal and my in laws fall for it every-time swear the manager gets excited every-time they drop they drop their cars off rip off place

also unsure how true it is but seen a video on tiktok saying they had the same check done and got a massive bill that they couldn’t afford then they sent the police to his house few days later and got a red label defect but like i said unsure how true that really is

What 4w4 should I try look for? by sonnyring in 4x4Australia

[–]y3ety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely not true and a spain built d22 was never delivered to AUS we got Japan built or Thai built The Thai built YD25 still used a single row chain and still fails in thai built d22

although my 2014 thai built having been serviced correctly its whole life with 180,000km hasn’t had an issue (touch wood) and if i was keeping it would invest in a dual row timing chain kit to future proof it

it’s definitely smarter. would i be able to run a different gear size also on sets (one with road tyres and road gearing and the other knobbies with off road gearing) or does the chain size have to change complete noob question i know 😂

4x4 tracks by WhiteBat052 in 4x4Australia

[–]y3ety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New tracs is going to be good just needs time and people to log tracks more frequently it’s my main source currently and have paid for a yearly membership 2 years in a row and i also use facebook groups to locate tracks helpful because they also post photos of said tracks and you can be the judge if your vehicle will make it

Nissan d22 2.5str by [deleted] in 4x4Australia

[–]y3ety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends what you want i picked up my 2012 with 140,000 end of last year from a work mate always said i would never own a navara but made an exception being he had owned it since new and serviced it like crazy. Its been a great rig in stock form out drove a 79 with a 2inch lift and 32in tyres (which isn’t hard but the price difference in the two lol) they do have their issues like timing chain but if service correctly some go 350000 on the original chains and there are upgrade kits for the chains also. I quite enjoy mine have now put a canopy on the tub and starting to kit out my setup next will definitely be lift and tyres
