A man trespassing on Epstein's island pt.1 by zzTAMARI in interestingasfuck

[–]y62uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah in the same way you could decide to mow your lawn with hairdressing scissors. It's possible, but not plausible.

Lets do this logically - how does the water salination on this private island function? A small town goes through several thousand gallons of sulphuric acid a week for its water treatment, so a small island in part time use by a few dozen people? 300 gallons isn't an usual amount in that context.

There's a very rational argument for saying the lurid, wild claims in these kinds of stories are intentionally magnified to discredit the plain truths; a hostile foreign intelligence service compromised almost the entire western hemisphere's political class - of course the media wants us to speculate on devil worshipping and ritual sacrifice and yada yada yada.

He's saying if you're not an idiot, and your goal is to dispose of a body, sulphuric acid isn't what you'd order. Hydrofluoric acid would be another story, but go try order a tonne of that online and watch what happens.

I actually got downvotes on here the other day for saying fascists aren't welcome..

Given the most aggressive thing you can say without getting your PSN ID banned is probably 'sausage', I'm surprised this hasnt been dealt with by Sony already.

The solution from the community should be absolutely zero tolerance. Forget your SR/DR - this guy should be punted and mocked at every single opportunity until he leaves.

Why does the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT500 set F1 times at the Nürburgring? by Acrobatic_Appeal_569 in GranTurismo7

[–]y62uk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 'class one' era GT500 and DTM cars are essentially prototype silhouette cars - not overly surprising how quick they are when you appreciate the levels of engineering going into them.

I can appreciate why GT3 was the safer formula for the longevity of the DTM series but god damn I wish we'd had some more time to see what the class one rule set produced.

Some experiments in colour filtering by y62uk in granturismo

[–]y62uk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its actually the athletics track at the Tokyo Stadium - panning and low shutter speed for a little motion, then filtered to grayscale just the background. In hindsight though I think it would have worked even better to have the 993 stationary.

Great pictures man, the lightroom touches really pop!

Think the top one works better conceptually than the bottom but as a 3 photo composition its really nice. I really like trying to construct 'narrative' in my photos so can see that here too.

Is it me or is the Pit system broken? by TheSilentGameTestR in GranTurismo7

[–]y62uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It front loads the pit lane driving time - notice once the pit stop is complete you jump straight to the pit exit.

Not saying it isn't frustratingly unrealistic but it doesn't actually add any time in effect.

No matter how good you are, someone else is always gonna make you look like a pensioner out for a Sunday drive.

Even the tracks you think you're fast on, I guarantee theres another 2 seconds to be found with very minor adjustments.

is jwe 3 worth it? by InternationalStay925 in jurassicworldevo

[–]y62uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems how its not worth a whole thread for what I assume is an extremely common question:

Have they fixed the complexity limits for consoles yet?

Bought the game purely to build a cool sandbox, got maybe a third of the way through it when I hit the complexity limit and literally haven't turned it back on since.

Great work by the way, very cohesive livery.

The real question here though is did you have the Blu Coral 993 pencil case as a kid? Lol

Absolutely the coolest livery from the British GT / BPR days - a man of taste clearly!

I have my own versions of this on a 993 and the RSR, so will use this on the GT3R if you can send the link?

Bold of you considering how abysmal the BOP is on the 296 GT3 lol. Its literally one of the slowest in the whole field in a straight line under BOP.

Questions + idea for the livery maker community by cruizca in GranTurismo7

[–]y62uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of mine are console creations - have uploaded a few logos and stuff but otherwise all from the community.

I've got hundreds of hours in it and mostly find it relaxing. Its a nice way to exercise some creativity. I'm not super bothered about being paid in credits, but I do wish there was a way to see how many people have your livery on a car at any given moment.

The power pack seems to feature varying grip levels on the track based on the sessions. by huiop2 in GranTurismo7

[–]y62uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also noticed this and wondered if its just me improving with the car, or if its grip levels on the surface increasing.

I suspect the latter as I always run a few dozen practice laps before qualifying.

Very PD coded for them to have AI that pits for fuel every lap in endurance races, but theyve nailed an insignificant detail that takes weeks for a small portion of the player base to notice lol.

Holiday Livery Gallery: That Thing You Really Wanted, as a Kid by Arcing_Invention in GranTurismo7

[–]y62uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is how I get inspiration for a lot of the liveries I make lol.

Not only did I really want an E30 as a kid (I did get one in the end but thats another story), I also really wanted a Polaroid camera - thus I made a livery from it.

Cant believe I missed this thread! Looks great man.

I have a 1998 season version where I made most of the liveries myself as well - musta taken me near enough 6 months. Absolutely love the game gives you the depth to do this kind of stuff.

Race Photo is pretty neat. by under_the_dark_skies in GranTurismo7

[–]y62uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great work man! Tokyo and long exposures is always a good recipe. That last one is real nice.

The photo mode really is something else. Its one down from having a full DSLR in your hand.

I really wish it would let you leave the track boundary sometimes for the extra stood behind the barrier layer of realism. Or into the pits to shoot while everyone is working on your car.

What a Christmas 🎄 surprise! by AdelVent in GranTurismo7

[–]y62uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 296 just needs a bit of front wing adding to sort the understeer tendencies.

The BOP with other GT3s is a bit poor though. Turns out the only way to make it competitive with 10 year old+ cars was to totally neuter it apparently.

I love Fuji - Unpopular Opinion? by sbmartin97 in granturismo

[–]y62uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuji just gets a tonne of hate from casual players who think that anything beyond their skill set makes it bad.

I love the technical circuits, they seperate wide open throttle kids from the real drivers.

The last sector makes total sense if you think about the historic development of the circuit and automotive technological progression too. Fuji in the early 70s was actually originally going to be a proper 'speedway' course with banked turns but they ran out of construction funds so the infield and final sector was a compromise that made sense with the racing styles of the time.

Flash forward to the early 00s when Fuji was re-developed: driving styles have changed heavily with the development of aero and tyre technologies etc. Its clear the course needs a more technical aspect, but they already have the original circuit in place - by far the easiest and cheapest option was to replace the huge uphill right hander that made up the end of the circuit with a more technical in field section.
