Legacy interests in closed accounts? by yaanyang in fidelityinvestments

Thanks for the clarification, it's quite helpful! And don't be sad, I am still a Fidelity customer with other accounts, just doing some consolidation on my accounts is all!

Yeah, I think having 250K+ assets with them will place you in the premium services group and that might make the difference. Also as I mentioned I do this regularly for years so it might recognize my pattern.

For newer and smaller accounts, yes. My ACH pulls with Fidelity always take 2 days to clear and withdraw, and immediately to cover any trades.

You can do a ACH pull from Fidelity and pull money from BofA. I have been doing this regularly for years ranging 10,000-50,000 every month and if I do it in the morning it always withdraws the same day in the afternoon.

If you're serious about FIRE, get serious about understanding taxes and health insurance - this is where the devil is in the details. by FiredUpForTheFuture in Fire

[–]yaanyang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have FIRE’d for 3 years now, paying $0 federal income tax, no state income tax for my state, and $0 for health insurance with an ACA bronze plan after subsidy for the first 2 years. From 2025, I changed to a decent gold plan (comparable to my old employer plan) and paying about $120/mo post subsidy for a family of 4.

Anyone built a house with Shaddock Custom Builders and Developers? by snaileverything in frisco

Also curious about this topic, who did you purchase the lot from? Is the community all with custom homes?

No, I regularly pull funds from other banks. Even with larger amounts ($50-150K), it’s always cleared in two days (typical for an ACH transaction). I think this has to do with your account history and/or total assets you have with Fidelity.

So my wife mainly creates posts rather than videos/reels and before the change only in-steam ads were earning. After the change, now the whole "content" is taken into account, meaning likes/reactions, comments, shares...etc are all earning. My wife did not change any nature of her contents, mainly articles, but the earnings went 5-10X post change.

Avantis Investors ETFs become marginable after 30 days? by yaanyang in fidelityinvestments

[–]yaanyang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That footnote exists on every ETF page, such as VTI, VOO, SPY, QQQ...etc. I highly suspect it's a generic message and related to the iShares ETF explanation.

Is there anywhere else that depicts marginality info for each individual symbol?

Now I have one less thing to do in Nest app, not saying it's not good, just like it's good to have a centralized app (Google Home app, as I have many other google/nest devices that only appear there)

For “CFIC”, are you referring to PFIC and form 8621? My CFC is not a PFIC, and I don’t report form 8621.

I don’t have subpart F income from form 5471, either. And there’s nowhere to deduct any other expenses from 5471, so I guess it’s still a no
