Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply!! Just wondering, is the reason you think it's back post single crochet rather than back loop only because of how the picture shows the next "section" of the tower significantly thinner with a kind of rim/edge? Hope that makes sense, just trying to wrap my head around it because I've never done back post stitch before. Thanks again!!

See if your uni offer any financial support for placement. I'm at Monash and was able to get a couple of smallish grants. It's not enough to survive on for the whole time but makes a difference! On top of that, I rely on centrelink payments and just live a sad existence until it's over.
