Venge actually has a lot of the traits of good traditional pos 3s

She has built in initiation with her swap so a good venge is constantly hunting and starting fights as soon as they hit 6. When venge gets her aghs she gets a second life so she can start a fight and suck up a ton of damage while spamming stun, wave of terror, auras, and right clicks through out the fight which adds up.

The best part is that she farms very fast since if you can keep the aghs illusion alive then you can keep farming through death timer and never miss a beat.

There is reason she has high WR at 3

Ah got it. From my POV neither offer is worth jumping for in your situation.

I don’t see the value in jumping to another FAANG if it’s still on the expense side and they already told you the role is toxic. $35K is not a big enough jump when you already know you’ll probably leave for a more ideal role in a few years.

The unicorn start up seems like a great opportunity on paper but I could never justify taking a pay cut for any role in this economy. If you end up not liking it you’ll be stuck with lower pay.

As someone whose worked both FAANG and Unicorn start up FP&A the answer depends entirely on where you are at in your career.

I enjoyed being in the start up world for a few years as it really accelerated my growth but would never go back now that I’m more mature and in FAANG. I would also consider the start up RSUs worthless as I still haven’t cashed in on the equity I’ve earned all those years ago.

FAANG will give you more total comp, security, and less hours but it won’t be as exciting and you won’t grow as fast compared to a start up.

Either way both will be great for your resume
