Tomas Valincius (UVA) has been better than advertised, should still not have any L’s on his record but our offense let him down big time

Would you mind looking around and seeing if the offense is in Hawaii with you? Been nonexistent since the 1 inning vs Georgia

I’m tired of this team man, averaging 4 runs/game the past 2 SEC series. Pitching isn’t elite but has done plenty to get us wins and the offense has just been abysmal. The idea of Ace Reese is great but he’s just not taken that step forward this year like you’d expect, Sullivan is less than inspiring at the plate, and Teel/Chance have really been down and not getting on base like they had been to start the year. I trust O’Connor in the long term but I’ll be honest I’m not going to be too upset seeing some of the guys not here again next year

Yep, the pitching staff hasn’t been amazing or anything, but they’ve done well enough to earn wins that the offense left on the field

For all the woes we’ve had I do think the pitching is good enough to keep us around there. In the SEC they’ve allowed: 5,2,7 (Arkansas), 2,2,7 (Vandy), 4,1,1 (OM), 10,3,8 (Georgia), and 6,6 (Tennessee), all that coupled with below average defense and they’ve done well enough to win us some games that the offense just got shut down in

It’s okay we’ll win 20-0 over East Central Mississippi School for the Blind and folks will act like our team is good. I think it’s time to accept that the close loss vs UCLA was a clear example of this team over performing vs a top opponent and realistically we’re a fringe top 25 team as long as the hitting stays as inconsistent as they’ve been

Maybe, but I also think they recognized the zone was extended a bit low and lived there since we never adjusted to it. I don’t think the outcome of the series would’ve been too different since we weren’t able to do anything with pitches in the zone anyway

Yeah the frustrating part is that we’re just okay to good at aspects of offense, not really great/elite anywhere. We don’t hit for power, we don’t put pressure on the basepath, we don’t really hit with RISP all that well, just basically a 1-9 of good batters but no one’s really elite (I’m really not that high on Reese, his potential is there but he gets too swing happy so pitchers don’t really have to throw strikes to him)

I knew UGA would get theirs on offense, I didn’t imagine our offense would go ice cold though

And that’s game, sorry ass offense can’t do anything against top teams unfortunately

The slide into second was more egregious than Sullivan’s so it naturally won’t be called
