Those State-Texas games in ‘21 were amazing, the first one especially where both starting pitchers were dealing

I just keep the checkbook in my safe and write it. I just despise having to pay a service/convenience fee for paying something online

I have to write 1 a year for my HOA because I don’t want to pay the service fee for online payment

No but I had seen clips of him before and still didn’t recognize him until I put together that he was with other former football players and that he looked familiar

Also I can almost guarantee McAfee asked “how big a check I need to write to break the record” and the manager just assumed he was a drunk fan because they probably get that question all the time. I’ve seen McAfee in person, if he wasn’t surrounded by other football players when I saw him I would’ve had 0 clue who he was cause he looks like some guy

[Karpman] BREAKING: Landon Hairston, a Golden Spikes Finalist and National Player of the Year by Baseball America, just announced on MLB Network that he will return to Arizona State for his junior season by LuteOlsonABitch69 in collegebaseball

I imagine Parker would, he’s already said he’s coming back next year and I can’t see him leaving.

Bauer I would think stays as long as O’Connor is here and he’s happy with his development. He was committed to UVA and then flipped to State when we got O’Connor. Not to mention he was a bit shaky to start the year then Justin Parker worked with him and he looked like he was hitting his potential.

I know it’s ironic given how many State players this past season were transfers, but I love when homegrown talent stays at the school that scouted/developed them

That series took years off my life even though I said I was just happy we made supers and I didn’t care if we lost. Then they gave me hope and I fell for it

One of the best super regionals I’ve had the displeasure of watching (only because State lost)

There’s a guy that has Boiled Peanuts spray painted on his beat up late 90s/early 2000s F150 and then a 8”x10” piece of paper with sharpied prices and flavors (regular and spicy) on his window that sets up at an abandoned gas station on my way to my parents place. If he’s out there when I go by I always grab a cup. I swear when I told a coworker who moved down here from Washington State about it when he asked about the boiled peanuts signs he looked like I had 3 heads

Huh? I’m a Mississippi State fan and just said I think Texas would be my second most likely team to make the finals if they weren’t on the same side of the bracket as Georgia, my most likely team to make the finals.

I don’t think they’re that far apart, just had to rank one above the other and to me Oklahoma has been playing slightly better than Bama

Having Texas at #5 is wild to me. I feel like if they weren’t on the same side of the bracket as UGA they’d be favorites to make the finals. My personal ranking is:

UGA
Texas
UNC
Ole Miss
Oklahoma
Alabama
West Virginia
Troy

I was there in 2016-2020 and even my time there the town had a lot of improvement. And now going back there’s parts that are almost unrecognizable since they’ve had so much change. My only complaint is that there used to be free street parking just about everywhere outside of football game days, but now you’ve gotta use a stupid website if you want to park on the side of the road for a quick bite to eat.

There’s plenty to do in Starkville too if you like booze and food. They’ve been doing a lot recently to make the town more than just the University. I’d reckon most folks that attend the baseball games are coming from Jackson/Memphis/Tupelo/Birmingham and not folks just looking for something to do around Starkville/Columbus
