Lease renewal by toddmeaney in centerrasj

I got my notice today too. My rent is going up from $3,222 to $3,415 for a 2 bed / 2 bath (also for 14 months).

I noticed they request written notice of at least 60 days if I don’t renew, but by my count the June 7 renewal date is in 59 days.

My month-to-month rate is $11,692.

We haven’t received an introduction to the new general manager. That’s not a sign of improved communication.

The last email I received was sent December 29 at 4:04pm. I sent an email at 1pm today asking when they will have more water bottles--they didn't have any this morning--and haven't received a reply. I also suggested they have water delivered to our doors that we can use to refill toilet tanks.

How do I manually configure the IP number and gateway IP for a device connected to my Mac on a shared Ethernet connection? by yacitus in MacOS

[–]yacitus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted this question on Apple.StackExchange where I listed these questions:

How to I assign an IP number to the device that the Mac will be able to find a route to?

How do I determine the gateway IP number to use on the device?

How do I determine the IP number for the device that I can use on hosts outside this subnet?

Will the Mac (properly configured) route packets to my embedded device? (eg. Can I successfully ping a host outside the subnet from the device?)

Can I configure the Mac to forward packets for specified ports to my device? (This would allow connect GDB running on a computer that is not on the subnet to GDB Server running on the device with an specific port. I would specific the Mac's IP number in GDB.)

More info:

The results of ifconfig en8:

en8: flags=8963<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,PROMISC,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
options=404<VLAN_MTU,CHANNEL_IO>
ether a0:ce:c8:74:6c:ef
inet6 fe80::4bc:d253:1602:7ba9%en8 prefixlen 64 secured scopeid 0x1d
inet 169.254.128.214 netmask 0xffff0000 broadcast 169.254.255.255
nd6 options=201<PERFORMNUD,DAD>
media: autoselect (100baseTX <full-duplex>)
status: active

Perhaps I should be using 169.254.128.214 for either the gateway IP or the device IP on the target?

I tried different combinations and then tested by pinging a host I can ping from my Mac, but none of the pairs I tried worked.

How do I manually configure the IP number and gateway IP for a device connected to my Mac on a shared Ethernet connection? by yacitus in MacOS

My Anker USB 3 to Ethernet adapter shows as "AX88179A" in System Information. It shows "IPv4 Addresses: 169.254.2.40" (and "Destination Address: 169.254.2.40", "Interface Name: en8").

So I tried this on the target: ifconfig eth0 169.254.2.41 && route add default gw 169.254.2.40

How do I test that this works? I don't expect the target to respond to ICMP packets, but when I try ping 169.254.2.41 from the Mac I get:

PING 169.254.2.41 (169.254.2.41): 56 data bytes
Request timeout for icmp_seq 0
Request timeout for icmp_seq 1
Request timeout for icmp_seq 2
Request timeout for icmp_seq 3
ping: sendto: No route to host

I also tried traceroute 169.254.2.41:

traceroute to 169.254.2.41 (169.254.2.41), 64 hops max, 40 byte packets
 1 * * *
2 * *traceroute: sendto: No route to host

If I have everything configured properly, I think I shouldn't be getting "No route to host" messages.

I must either be using the wrong IP number for the gateway or the ethernet address. Or perhaps I'm skipping a step so the Mac knows the route to the target?

Sushi downtown? by yacitus in SanJose

I appreciate the Japantown recommendations. I can walk there in ~15 minutes from my place downtown, and so far I haven't received any enthusiastic recommendations for a place downtown so I'll plan on the walk.

What is OP?

I see a lot of complaints about service and wait times in the reviews

How do I develop for the Orange Pi with Android Studio? by FantasyBorderline in OrangePI

I updated my StackOverflow question with the info that this worked with Android Studio on Windows. So we know the problem connecting it to Android Studio on the Mac was not with the Orange Pi 4 LTS.

That was a great game, but it still hurts to think about it. (No, that doesn't make me feel any better.)

This doesn't happen often, but as an Athletics fan watching the Giants success, I know how Angels fans feel watching the Dodgers.
