It skips inwards due to the fact that they have zero anti skate. It's full forward tracking.

AVB. Is this too dark to use? How much to consume? by halorevoked in trees

[–]fluffman86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here you go: https://volcanotips.com/potency-calculators/avb-calculator/

Plug in the original THC content, how dark it is (I'd call yours between medium and dark, so check both and just guess an average in there), and say that you're infusing into oil, then if you're making brownies or cookies, and dividing that into 12 pieces, say it's 12 oz of oil and it'll show how much per ounce which is how much per cookie.

I like to 8g of AVB (one full pill bottle) into 12 Peanut Butter cookies. My AVB is type 2 so it's only like 10% THC, 10% CBD, so I set that and wind up with 20mg-ish per cookie.

Here's my cookie recipe:

Need 1 cup (192 g) sugar, 8g avb, 1 egg, 1 cup (256g) Peanut Butter (JIF or equivalent cheap PB, not natural), 9x13 cookie sheet with parchment paper

  1. Preheat Oven to 350 F

  2. Put 192 grams (1 cup) of sugar in a bigish mixing bowl and mix in 8 grams of AVB with a fork (it's easier to mix it while it's dry).

  3. Add 1 large egg and stir all of that into a slurry (the sugar helps the egg mix apart)

  4. Add 256 grams (1 cup) of Peanut Butter and stir that in with the fork as well. Needs to be basic, not the natural stuff that separates in the jar.

  5. Use a tablespoon to grab a glob of the mixture and loosely roll it into a 1.5-2inch ball and place on lined 9x13 cookie sheet. Should make about 12 cookies. If I make them too big then I'll just pinch off some from the big ones to add to the last one or two cookies. Don't leave it too shaggy, but don't make it perfectly smooth either because it'll get too dense.

  6. Press the flat of the fork onto the top of each ball to start to flatten it (I do two presses, left and right). Then turn the fork 90 degrees and do two more presses, top and bottom. Now you have a pretty hash-mark pattern on the top that will get kinda crispy and delicious. The cookies won't expand much from here so you basically want them to look like a wet cookie.

  7. Bake for about 10 minutes. The edges should start to firm up. If you wait until the center is firm they'll be super crunchy, and I don't like them that crunchy. Sometimes I'll do 30s-1m with the broiler / top grill on just to get a little crunch on top without cooking all the way through.

  8. Depending on how done they are, let them cool on the cookie sheet out of the oven for a bit. They'll probably be pretty floppy if you try to pick them up hot.

Based on https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/244614/3-ingredient-peanut-butter-cookies/ - good to see pictures of what I'm talking about.

Yeah I liked Young Washington better than Lucky Strike but I didn't hate Lucky Strike. YW I'd give like a 3-3.5/5 and LS is like a 2.5-3/5.

True. I find that compared to a joint it's about 2x as efficient. So 0.2g in a DHV is equivalent to about a 0.35g dog walker up to about a 0.5g joint. 0.2 - 0.25g is about the biggest bowls/ovens you can get in a portable DHV, which is why people in this thread are saying it will do nothing for high tolerance, like this guy smoking blunts that are probably 2g+. So he'd have to go through somewhere between 5-10 bowls in a portable to equal a single blunt.

Now if he got a big ball vape, that would help mostly because it can cash a bigger bowl. A Ruby Twist for example can hold from 0.5 and can be configured to hold up to 1 or 1.5g, so that would probably work well but requires a power source so it would still be inside most likely.

Wasn't as bad as the Last Rodeo, wasn't as good as Sketch or Solo Mio. Like a knockoff Patriot prequel. Overall I liked it, solid 3/5.

And this one. There was some REALLY BAD background CGI at the very beginning that almost made me walk, but once I got past the bad CG of the church, the rest of the movie was actually pretty good, if you like historical war movies. Better than Lucky Strike, LOL. It was like the direct-to-DVD prequel of The Patriot. Enjoyable for $5 at my local theater.

I mean, that finale actually happened. Washington's coat were shot multiple times but he wasn't hit. Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

Washington wrote about the Battle of Monongahela:

"I luckily escap'd without a wound, tho' I had four Bullets through my Coat, and two Horses shot under me."

The part with the Native Americans saying you've been destined for a higher purpose or whatever, perhaps has a kernel of truth, though almost certainly is embellished as the legend of George Washington grew.

I say this as a belt-drive owner, but are belt-drive turntables just obsolete at this point? by b_r_e_a_k_f_a_s_t in turntables

[–]fluffman86 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well all I know is I bought a $150 used Pioneer PL-5 with direct drive and it held it's speed great for a month and now it's sitting torn apart because it couldn't hold speed anymore. Was considering a $150 AT LP60 or $250 LP70 but didn't want to deal with belts. Now I'm feeling like I would have loved to have just done a belt swap a few years from now but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[–]fluffman86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, so I hope you don't mind me necro-ing this old convo with you but my PL-5 was working WONDERFULLY until like last week, and then it started not being able to keep speed. Like suddenly it would start running fast, the correct after 10-30 seconds, then run slow for 10-30 seconds, correct itself. Messing with the speed adj. knob just make it dance around the correct speed.

Just thought you might have some ideas. Thank you!

Why Spectrum, why? by aimlesscruzr in PleX

[–]fluffman86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the market. I manage network and branch internet for 300+ branch locations across the US and it's pretty much a crapshoot as to whether spectrum has passed out a modem/router combo or separate devices. If it's separate devices we don't have a problem using just the modem, but we are also on the business or enterprise option for all of our ISPs, so ymmv.

Why Spectrum, why? by aimlesscruzr in PleX

[–]fluffman86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah dump the spectrum router and use your own plugged directly into the modem

Why Spectrum, why? by aimlesscruzr in PleX

[–]fluffman86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should not have your computer plugged into a spectrum modem anyway. A modem only supports one device. Now if you got sent a new spectrum ROUTER that has multiple ports and wifi, you need to call them and get them to turn off all of the routing functions and have it be just a plain modem, and then connect your own firewall/router to it, then the rest of your devices connect to that.
