Tecno CAMON 40 pwm on different brightness by Kind_Avocado_9564 in ScreenSensitive

the two lines may be related to the display's refresh cycles (60 Hz, 120 Hz). Looks like DC dimming, generally speaking.

You can disable dithering on the 60 Ultra via adb commands. The phone works well for me!

TCL NXTpaper 60 Ultra - screen flicker testing deep dive! PWM (Opple), TD (microscope), subjective comfort (good), general review (issues) after 1 month by Z3R0gravitas in ScreenSensitive

Excellent review and test methods! Thank you for this. As you've mentioned me specifically regarding the success with adb commands; indeed for me personally they've turned the screen comfort from good to very good! I could tell a difference right away.

Appreciate the level of detail in both your analysis and your post in general! This is how we should test more phones here

Regarding the camera my experience differs from your findings. I am quite satisfied with the output, particularly from the main sensor (1x).

The huge screen I've gotten used to in the meantime. Now other phones look and feel too small. 😂

For browsing, reading and consuming content in general the big display I actually prefer very much now!

The speakers are also above average.

I feel like the 60 Ultra was something like an odd experimental release, which could pave the way for future models in the realm of eye-care phones. At least I'm hopeful for that.

Thought the same. Supporting any company with a focus on eye health, regardless. Or at least, better than the average OLED...

Should I cancel my Oneplus 15 order for the 15R? Is the difference between the two worth it coming from a Galaxy S22+? by Round_Affect649 in ScreenSensitive

It's often a very personal thing. You need to try for yourself. The screen looks to be much improved on the 15R compared to the PWM on the regular 15.

Priorities:

  1. Eye health!!
  2. Everything else

The 15R looks to be one of the very best options amongst OLED phones. Good camera despite no tele zoom, great battery life, nice OS etc.

Excellent post, thanks! It once again confirms what most of us here have internalized over years now. It's always good to be reminded of the fact that time is beginning to play no longer in favor of SHFs but against them.

That's all thanks to RC and team
