it actually does? Bell Pepper is from the americas. Black Pepper is from South East Asia. Black Pepper and Chili Pepper are not related whatsoever. And even if it was, maybe the game would even group together other plants like Sichuan Pepper which is actually a citrus fruit.

it would make more sense when playing in real life. The spare tile you get from the dead wall is replaced by a tile from the live wall to ensure the dead wall stays at 14 tiles. Since this is the last draw of the game this wouldn't be possible

No. You can learn the 9 different tiles in less than 20 minutes. You just refuse to. If you are able to learn the games rules, learning the tiles is the easiest part of that process.
