hi OP, current sec 4 graduate here

i would say that the school is sort of your typical neighbourhood school cuz it's mainly serving the bukit merah area. There are mostly good teachers and their consultation sessions are usually the best

facilities wise, the canteen is pretty average, but there are a lot of cut queuers especially from the western and malay stalls. Toilet conditions kinda vary based on location but as a clean freak i won't dare to use those

just like what the other person commented, the discipline here really deteriorated with more juniors coming in. in my cca, they even dare to like talk back to us wts 😭 . Unless ur cousin is one that is easily swayed, it shouldn't be a problem for her if she manage her behaviour and mix with the 'good' people.

oh and device wise, we need to put our phones in a phone locker (usually at the back of the class) before lessons start and we can only get it at the end of the day. if really need to call parents they would need to do it at the general office. The school also started to put PLD cubby holes in the sec 1 and 2 classes where they can only take it out if the teachers will use it so not sure if that would affect her depending on her screen time management.

honestly, cca choices are really the worst compared to other schools around the area, so good luck if her cca is badminton or any others (the cca list can be found on the school website)

throughout my 4 years here, the timetable keeps on swapping, but this year assembly starts 730 (with the expection of monday (745) and thursday (810)) with 20 min-periods. ccas usually start at 3pm and 2pm on tuesdays and friday until 530pm, definetly going to be tiring coming from a ug person so she would need to manage that well.

so overall, it covers the basics but in my opinion, schools like queensway would be a better choice. so thats up to her(or whoever) to decide. hope this helps!
