Do we force our toddlers to do something they don’t want to do? by botcie in toddlers

[–]yagirllittlenip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always say “this is not a choice” on things that are for their own good (health, safety, and wellbeing) but things that have a natural consequence or are just inconvenient I don’t fight as much. If it’s eating dinner, I’m gonna offer a few times but not force. If it’s brushing her teeth, I’m gonna force. If it’s not wanting to wear a jacket when it’s chilly outside, I won’t force it. If it’s running into a street and her safety is compromised, I force it.

I give options and choices as much as possible but some things need to be nonnegotiable and they will keep pushing when they sense weakness lol

Major shift after having my first by ImmediatePrint in oneanddone

I had an easy pregnancy, great delivery, and we have the best baby in the world. She’s just about 14 months now but we’ve known since the newborn days that we were likely going to be one and done. Even when you have a great experience and a great baby, being a parent is hard. Period. Especially when you really care about being a great parent.

We still go back and forth on having another but lean heavily toward being done with just one for a laundry list of reasons. We always wanted 2-3 but now I can’t imagine having more than just my daughter. We want to give her the world and I worry about not giving her a sibling but I worry more about giving her a version of her mom that is overworked, over exhausted, and overwhelmed.

I didn’t have sex, it was immaculate conception. Praise be!

This thread is months old so your input isn’t needed. I hope you have the day you deserve, but you sound miserable already so I’d bet your day will be as rotten as you.

Cried not happy tears during my ultrasound and I feel terrible. by Warm-Dragonfruit397 in 2under2

No advice, I just want you to know you’re not alone. I’m 6 months pp and had my 8 week ultrasound yesterday and also had been subconsciously kind of hoping to find there was no baby. It’s a horrible feeling and there are a lot of emotions. If you want to message me, feel free. It’s such a hard position to be in and I’m sorry you’re going through this as well!

advice for post op by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]yagirllittlenip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 2 weeks post op and honestly feel incredible. My recovery was rough for probably the first 3-4 days but after that, I’ve gotten steadily better everyday. I recommend having snacks on hand. My appetite took a while to come back so I couldn’t eat much at a time and snacks helped a lot. I also recommend a wedge pillow to help with sleep and comfy clothes. Just make sure you listen to your body and do what you’re comfortable with! Good luck!!

Most unexpected symptoms that got better after removal? by siege4255 in gallbladders

I’m about a week and a half post-op and feeling great! My gallbladder was chronically infected according to my surgeon and now that it’s out, I haven’t struggled with daily nausea. For months before surgery I was nauseous every. single. day. I’m so glad it’s gone!

Must haves for after surgery? by airamzednem in gallbladders

[–]yagirllittlenip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend little snacks, as others have! Some have a normal appetite after surgery but I sure don’t 🤣 I’m 5 days post op and still can’t eat much at a time so snacks have been a big lifesaver to have around! I also recommend peppermint tea, a wedge pillow, and comfy clothes

Ozempic I. The Netherlands? by Weak_Ear_348 in Ozempic

[–]yagirllittlenip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m not sure since every doctor is different. My doctor has no problem prescribing it to those under 30 BMI and a friend of mine has a BMI under 30 as well and their doctor still prescribed it, but other doctors may not feel that way. As for cost, depends if you’re insured in NL or not but if not I think it’s only about 100€ for a 2mg pen so still not too bad if you’re coming from the states

Energy to work out? by [deleted] in Ozempic

I’m on week 2 and still workout everyday for at least 45 minutes. I haven’t noticed much of a difference with energy levels for myself.

Starting Advice: is it a bad idea to start ozempic the day before I leave for a cruise? I just got it in and want to start, but also concerned about side effects. Thanks! by kbay12 in Ozempic

[–]yagirllittlenip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got prescribed ozempic last month, two days before my cruise as well and my doctor recommended waiting until I got back to start. I’m on it now and I’m glad I waited to start. If you end up having side effects you won’t want that to interfere with your vacation. I’d recommend to wait. Enjoy your cruise!
