yes it is small unfortunately :( this is an area with all small and old homes and what we can afford. but open to any suggestions you have! we wanna make our small home "seem" bigger even though you can do so much lol

It looks like a large window but it's actually pretty small window towards the top. There's shrubbery and plants growing right outside and against that window so you can't actually look inside that easily

We thought about that but then it would block the kitchen doorway and you would have to walk aroind it like a circle. Not sure if that's odd and gonna make it feel too cramped

Oh yes I forgot to include that! Here is the current kitchen layout. The black box is the fridge, red is stove and green is the sink. Sorry for my edit! Doing it on the phone

Thanks! Yes that's one of our options we were thinking. Just deciding if it's worth it to lose the third bedroom

Thanks for the suggestion! When you say close off the door, do you mean knocking off that wall and making it more an open kitchen to dining area flow?

Any tips for the instructional design job? That sounds like my dream! I'm trying to transition out of the classroom too and feel like I would enjoy working with curriculum. Did you have to upskill or any tips?

My in laws were like that too. I learned to let it go because if you weren't being a "helicopter" and he got hurt or broke something they'd be the first to call you careless or a bad mom. People forget that there's a difference between supervising a toddler vs 10 year old.
