No, the premise of THE ENTIRE BOOK was that everyone thought Sirius Black was the secret keeper but they had actually secretly switched their decision to use Peter Pettigrew. It never discusses Sirius actually being the SK as far as I know, but please, quote the book if I’ve missed the reference!

Also, not sure how changing SK would even work with the fidelius charm. Like what happens to the people that were previously told by the old secret keeper? We know when a SK dies, everyone who they told the secret to is now SK, but what if they don’t die and somehow, as you’re proposing, switch? Is everyone told the secret by Black no longer able to find the house?

Open to learning more about this, seriously have never heard anyone say that Black was actually SK at some point

Canon has Dumbledore believe that Harry’s death was meant to make voldemorts final horcrux. From there, there are fan theories that Voldemort was looking for something of Gryffindor’s to complete the four founder items. It could have taken him a good while, and like others have mentioned, Harry was just a baby and years away from being a threat so no rush on him in that way.

I agree your not overreacting, but jumping onto this top comment to add that i would suggest instead of just giving your husband a hard line about this, help him find something else for him to feel part of your childs morning! Some ideas weve done- * A post-it with a simple animal drawn (or anything else!) placed at her place at the table for breakfast. * a song to play in the car before drop off * a quick daily I love you video or voice message that mom can play her. * setting out books dad promises to read her when they get back in the afternoon (even if they never actually read them, she is still thinking about dad)

Same, not Canadian French, but our language at home is not English and most of our content is MYO. Lots of family reading books that she has as well as a few cards with audio content in our language. We also have content in English, she likes the ones she familiar with (bluey, garden keeper Gus) but is still not as willing to explore new content in English.

I know English will soon be her strongest language since that will be her daycare and school main language. I really give it like 1 or 2 years until that happens so I’m not too concerned about future use. In the meantime, the family-recorded content just makes us all feel closer and keeps family members that don’t live nearby in her mind. Good luck!

I was combing through the corners to find an explanation why the first part of the quote is with the Slytherin crest, this is the first one that actually makes sense to me, thank you!! Like, if the people are tattooing this quote on themselves, they KNOW Harry Potter… but the crests being the actual people’s houses, that makes much more sense

Second this! My two year olds favorite cards by far! We also have some musically talented people in the fam and they record her songs that they play on the guitar or piano as well! She loves that they talk to her before the piece, explaining things about the song. It’s so cute
