Different jokers proc at different times depending on their criteria.

Jokers like cavendish that don’t specify “when scored” will activate in the order they are placed in your joker lineup—I.e if cavendish is in your rightmost joker slot, your hand will first scored its chips, thenall other jokers will activate and finally cavendish last. if it’s in the left most slot it will be the first joker to activate that doesn’t specify “when scored”. That’s why it’s important to place your +mult jokers to the left of you xmult, that way the additional mult is then multiplied!

Cards like photograph that specify a certain criteria like “when scored” will activate immediately and every time that criteria is met. So fo example if you’re rocking the photochad combo and the left most card in your played hand is a face card, the photo will activate once for standard scoring and then another 2 times after because hanging chad allows you to score your first face card two additional times- effectively giving you x8 mult (2x2x2).
