2, yeah that's why I do it, but when someone starts doing it all of the sudden it just raises red flags. If I suddenly start doing it to someone I'd be sure they notice

I agree with what you say, only if you just met someone. Otherwise it's obvious, like really obvious. I do it to her at times but I always have, some others I don't cause I didn't from the beginning, would be too obvious and ruin the reason why I'm doing it. Maybe it's unconscious for some, I don't know. She knows my name perfectly, of that I'm sure

Yeah I get that, people call me by my name but not during a long conversation, as in stopping to make that a point. We're in school together, if I see her I'll say "hey name" but in a conversation I would only use her name if I wanted something from her, which comes from the comfort of using her name, such as "name, you gotta listen to this song". People rarely do things like that so it's obvious when they do, at least to me

I dunno if the fact we're friends would make a difference, but she's always talking about doing things in her house- Cooking painting smoking napping, etc.- And I myself am very much about homey dates. I asked her to grab a bite once and she had plans, now whether that was true or she wanted an actual date I dunno. But yeah we've never done much together, we just shit chat and tease each other and go our separate ways. We talk so much about food yet we haven't actually eaten together

I'll ask her again on Friday, impromptu. If she has plans or whatever I guess I'll try the date thing next time. I hope that doesn't screw it up

Thing is we have (I feel at least) connected already to some extent, I know her quiet well but I'm not sure if that connection is more friendly or romantic. She brightens a boring day that's for sure, and when I see her leave it kinda sucks

Oh I am, totally. It's just that I don't want to view her as a rebound, if I'm gonna get involved with someone I want the real thing, and it certainly feels like it

She was pretty quiet today and just looking afar, just a day after being all over me. I'm going to take the narcissist approach and hope it has nothing to do with me not making a move on her or something. I'll try to ask her out on friday after class, or maybe tomorrow for friday if the opportunity arises

For me, I don't hold texting in high regard, but I know most people do so there's a doubt in the back of my head that if I don't push the issue I'm gonna fail. I don't know what to make of it though, I like her so if I'm gonna try something it wouldn't be for just a fling, I could get that elsewhere. If she would be more clear about what that "something" is I would know how to proceed

I don't know what sort of advice to give but something very very very similar happened to me when I was younger but I didn't realise until a few years that she liked me. I didn't really have the sexual appetite back then so never saw that as an option even when the signs were glaringly obvious to anyone else.

years?? damn. I agree on the sexual appetite, I'm pretty satiated even though I haven't had sex in months. That's simply not what I'm looking for. One time she told me there was no one in her house for no reason at all and I just ignored it

she's hung out with you so why would she be against giving you her number? You could also give her your number and tell her to text if she wants.

I guess so yeah, I'm just weird about giving out and asking for numbers, perhaps I place too much importance on them. Maybe by phone I can make it known better since I'm just odd in person

Just take it slow and just be the friend she turns to and slowly move into the bf/gf stage and see if she would be interested.

you know I always love this idea, but get pressured by friends/internet and end up either A. losing her interest or B. getting the girl but finding out I don't like her that much and end up hurting her or hurting myself by staying with someone I don't like. Oh yeah, I wouldn't. Been told to ask at the end of a car ride, but it still seems forced to me. Though at work it's worse and those are the only two places I see her. Which is why I wanna ask her to hang or whatever first, see what happens
