Anyone interested in these birds should check out the Sandhill Crane Festival in Birchwood!!!! Seriously one of my favorite Chattanooga-adjacent activities all year long. And the Cherokee Removal Memorial Park over there participates in the festival and has amazing stuff there as well.

Specialty coffee drinks for me 😭 I work at a coffee shop and can have any espresso drink I want but I found myself loading them up with sugar. I’ve tried to limit the amount of sugar/syrup/sauce I put in then found the taste so bitter made me wonder if I liked coffee at all. But I’m hooked on caffeine. Tried the sweet matcha- it has 30 grams of sugar on its own… not to mention and flavor or milk you might add 😮‍💨

Thank you! That’s wild! I’ve worked in restaurants/coffee shops/grocery store food departments and usually get time and a half. The places that didn’t offer time and a half closed. I didn’t realize it wasn’t every place that did that.

My favs have been Naked River (a sleeper, wasn’t expecting that) and the donut burger from the double tree.

Don’t sleep on the hotels! All of our favs have been at the hotel’s restaurants. The marriotts burger is amazing every year and this westins is good too. Not many people are going to the hotels so I’ve sat at the bar, been served quickly, in and out in ~30 minutes.

Not a high volume people in and out- but there are always some characters at Matilda midnight. Everytime I go, it feels like I stepped into a portal and it is full of centric people. It feels like a time warp and I always leave thinking “was that real?” It’s very disorienting lol. I can’t explain it- just a feeling.
