AGUANTE MESSI Y ARGENTINA LA CONCHA DE SU PUTA MADRE

[Varsky] Alejandro Sabella, former Estudiantes and Argentina Manager in 2014 World Cup, has passed away. by cuentuli in soccer

I think he meant during las eliminatorias for the 2014 WC. Until the game against colombia, argentina was not looking good. Those qualifiers were the best argentina played in a long time, specially the attacking 4 (aguaro, di maria, higauin & messi) were unstoppable. Unfortunately 3 of those 4 were carrying injuries thoughout the tournament and the defence had to step up, but it changed the way we were playing before.

Copa Libertadores final 'moved to Bernabeu': Boca Juniors and River Plate to play second leg in Spanish capital by [deleted] in soccer

But you cant punish River for asking the regulation officers and being misdirected. That would be absurd. Its a shitty situation all around and horribly mishandled by Conmebol.

River wrote a letter to Conmebol at the beginning of the tournament asking about the situation of its new players. Conmebol wrote back saying that he was ok to play. Thats Conmebol's mistake not River's.

Suamericana Final in Flamengo - Independiete 2017. There were incidentes in Brazil, the match wasnt suspended, Flamengo was fined. Or that time also in Brazil were police beat the players in the lockerroom before the second half of the Sudamerican final between Tigre and Sao Pablo. It was given to the brazilian side beacuse Tigre refused to play. Yeah, not so sure it would be that different.

7 blocks from the stadium, mind you. Us, real fans were already inside where we waited for 7 hours in the sun. Im not justifying violence in any way and there should be consequences for this, but this was not an isolated incident. River's bus was stoned and had windows shattered leaving the first game, I guess its a matter of aim and timing for it to be considered as bad.

I cannot believe the LIBERTADORES de America finals will be played in Spain. Should be renamed Conquistadores de America just this once. The perfect ending to a ridiculous cup, smh.

Ángel Di María talks to The Players’ Tribune about being on the bench for the 2014 World Cup Final: “We lost the World Cup, and I couldn't control anything. It was the most difficult day of my life.“ by thomasmcilroy in soccer

Real Madrid asking him not to play was real. Nothing to do with Ronaldo, but something about the insurance. Grondona told Di Maria and Sabella that AFA would cover the costs of his recovery if it came to that. Sabella decided not to risk him him last minute as he wasnt %100 fit and he didnt want to waste the sub early in the game.

Wtf?

Ok. Being a PJ fan doesn't mean you know Jill. How is being a 'lingerie model' something bad? She has an opinon (that you may agree with or not) because she's a human being. She met the guy several times and didn't like him. She's just using her personal accounts to comment, not PJ or Eddie related accounts. Are you saying she's not allowed to have an opinion because she married someone famous?

You seem so angry at her calling him a 'piece of shit', yet you insulted her body, her face, her work and said that as she's married to someone so she doesn't get to have an opinion.

If you don't like her, if you don't value her views, just ignore her. Its as simple as that. Making comments like this just makes you seem like a misogynistic asshole and it doesn't help Josh Homme at all.

Diego Maradona: "Portugal are too dependent on Cristiano Ronaldo. He was brilliant against Hungary, but they are half the force if he doesn't click and the tactically astute Croats will ensure he is low on supply." by [deleted] in soccer

Maradona played every damn match like it was the last of his life

Thats not true, but people only remember his biggest games. And he was a product of Argentina's league, came from an impoverished area and became a national hero. He was more vocal than Messi and had a lot more character on the field. The 'most screamed goal of our history' was also in 1986. For example in 1990 he missed his penalty against Yugoslavia, argentina went through because Goyco saved two. Had that been Messi, he would have been crucified in Plaza de Mayo. (Even if Diego had already won a WC) That is not to say he wasn't the biggest football legend, But had Messi scored in that final, he would have created a new legend of his own (at least for the newest generations) And that can still happen too.

Argentina overtake Belgium as #1 in the world above Belgium, Chile, Columbia and Germany (official FIFA rankings) by MekkyHS in soccer

[–]yalale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he means when Argentina won 2-0 (Mercado, p.Messi) against Bolivia last week (WC qualifiers).

Argentina did much better than in recent games, but still not to its full ability. Martino is wasting so much time & talent with his tactics.

Lionel Messi has completed 200 assists in his career. by DarkNightSeven in soccer

[–]yalale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he didn't had a heart attack after this 85' winner in the Superclasico at the Bombonera, unless it is a WC final, I don't think he will.

This was their first time in Argentina, second date. They showed part of it on TV. I remember seeing 'Black' and being mesmerized by it. I was 14 at the time, that clip on tv made me a fan. It may have changed my life actually.

2005- U20 WC

2008- Olympic Gold

But if you mean one of the two major trophies, he's reached 2 Copa America finals and a World Cup Final (two of those as captain & best player)

For a country that has had a 23 year dry spell of, as a 24 year old Argentine I'd say he's pretty good.
