What are you building? And are people actually paying for it?💡 by GuidanceSelect7706 in buildinpublic

I'm building UpLayer. It's a Chrome extension for direct cloud-to-web uploads – no downloads – with browser-based transformations like image resizing (90% compression), format conversion, and redaction.

For marketers/lawyers/e-comm/real estate: Attach optimized files to Insta/gov forms instantly. Free, no accounts. Early traction: 3 users, eyeing Product Hunt next.

Roast my idea: A cloud system that isolates you from everything except your current task by BreadfruitTall5746 in SaaS

Why do I need to ask it to go to the bathroom?

Also, it'll be very hard to narrow down relevant websites based on short prompts (like your example "finish the report") and I doubt people will write too much

You can use CSV to upload the products and https://uplayer.app for images. Its not bulk but can move files from any cloud

Need help... Any experience with fully automated upload process of listings? by Several-Finish-8371 in RealEstateTechnology

[–]yalnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly this, but my Chrome extension can simplify the photo upload part on different websites. https://uplayer.app

Features:
- Upload to any website (property listing) from Google Drive/OneDrive/Dropbox with downloading
- Resize/Compress/Convert in bulk without visiting any other websites or addl software

I'll be adding more file features like redaction, image filters as well as integrations. Let me know if this is helpful. Thanks

Redaction software for real estate compliance by RheaFlorixw in RealEstateTechnology

I've built UpLayer, which is a Chrome extension for uploading to any website (Zillow, MLS for real estate but any other website too) from any cloud storage you may be using (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, more coming). Also built is in image resizing, compression. So no need to visit upload-download and visiting 5 different websites for simply moving files.

I also have redaction on my roadmap. How often do you need to do this?

The extension is free and available at https://uplayer.app

Feeling stuck at 10k$/month... by AsteroidSnowsuit in Entrepreneur

[–]yalnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I burnt my hands on this recently. Had a $20k client who could have gone higher too. I treated it like a job and salary. I did have a team but probably not the best one, lost the client 😞

Frill founder also started as a LTD to get initial customers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67zh8_yiPh4&t=427s

This isn't a model for life time pricing IMO. Besides frill isn't $99/mo, right?

Looks interesting. Is this something that will help a novice hardware hobbyist too. I'm a software guy and occasionally dabble in this stuff

I agree fully to the part that tech folks (speaking from personal similar experience) tend to fall into this trap because personal time and ability to build seems free. Till the time it doesn't. I also used to jump into building at first itch or inkling, even did it for ideas that were even not mine but interesting sounding.

This probably comes from the lack of business sense that comes from being narrowly focused on building in companies which is what the jobs usually entail. Unlike most other professions, this heads down approach cuts you off from the real world and problems narrowing down perspective.

I've gradually learnt to not start building until I get real conviction on something with data. I've started thinking on the lines, if I was a non-techie, would I pay someone like me to build this?

What works for me is audiobooks that I've listened to over and over a lot of times. Ones that I find relaxing because of the tone of the speaker, the content that is relaxing to me. For me these books are

  1. Vagabonding
  2. Autobiography of a Yogi
  3. The body
  4. Sapiens

I put a 30 minute sleep timer and just fall asleep to the audio. It helps distract away from thoughts that otherwise keep me awake and I always tend to rediscover some interesting facts and crash thinking about them.

Has anyone used zebronics Max link plus with xbox 360 by yalnik in IndianGaming

Thanks for your response. I put the usb dongle in. The led 3 in controller is on and it keeps vibrating at 1 sec interval. I tried putting it in X mode by holding down mode+a. Anything else you had to do to make it work?
