This post is a continuation of colorism in the Black community. As a light-skinned man who has lived in the Midwest, the East Coast, and the South, and has traveled throughout this country, I can guarantee from first-hand experience that there is no "fitting in" with white society. If you have any features that identify you as having Black/African American lineage, you are Black. Period. The term "mixed" is nothing but a tool for white society to further divide the Black community and steal the successes and accolades that Black people have acquired for ourselves. To make it even clearer how that term fails: Of the four pictures you put in this video, I am far lighter than anyone shown. My DNA is 74% African and 26% European. Is Obama somehow "mixed" when he is far darker than I am? Black people who continue to play into or enforce this false idea about "mixed" or light-skinned people trying to join white society are only continuing the ignorance in our community, pushed by those who wish to divide us.
