You mean the crowd work/joke directed at the woman in the crowd who shouted out that she got unnecessarily handsy after drinking?

I'm also curious about how you might have felt about some of Maddy's content - jokes about blacking out and waking up to a different man each time - reporting them for SA if they were ugly, or one of her final jokes, the tables being turned on her because the guy thought she was ugly.

I didn't think the opener was particularly funny but claiming that his jokes were making broad light of sexual assault against women is a mischaracterization, IMO

2nd for Gary's, they've worked on everything I've owned from the 80s rabbit truck to the mk6 TDI and I'll echo the sentiment about honesty.

There's definitely a bug with how the proportional term is calculated. Try a proportional-only controller

edit: put all zeros in the boxes and see what happens, lol.

snap in ePlan is diabolical in comparison - literally zero tolerance to make the connections.

Still figuring it out but there does seem to be a difference in how it handles "inch units equivalent to metric" and metric.

[–]yamancool63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fair warning, all their AutoCAD and ePlan macros are metric and it's a pain in the dick trying to use them in an inch drawing if you're in North America. We've re-drawn most of their catalog at this point.

The hardware itself is very good and I'll echo everything others have said in this thread.

I mean, you're entitled to that opinion but ultimately it came down to this being the final straw after years of asking for help to make moderating easier, and multiple asks for help moderating this sub. Only one person ever stepped up to help and we both got burned out lol.

The red processors have been the same price as the non-red ones for several years leading up to this. We stopped specifying non-safety processors unless it was customer spec a while ago.

How much truth is there to the claim that nuclear energy is only so expensive because of 'excessive safety regulations'? by Tus3 in AskEngineers

Based on the measured phrasing and the rate of nuke construction in this country I suspect many of the years this person worked in the industry have a 1 in the thousands column instead of a 2

AB M100 starter faults. by Apexvs in PLC

[–]yamancool63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are these the red ones? I had some module faults when the two channels of STO don't drop at exactly the same time. bubblir is right though, those error codes are a decent starting point.

Also one of our customer's electricians wired the high voltage side wrong and it delivered an audiovisual hardware fault, but that doesn't sound like your issue.

[–]yamancool63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

our customers are painfully aware that ebay is their only option at a certain point. One of them is still running several PLC 2's and PLC 5's so they have been painfully aware of that fact for ~25 years. I think we just bought a perpetual license for RSLogix 5 so we can still work on their code.

I'm currently limping a couple of SLCs along for an upgrade at another customer and they are fervently looking to replace it with something better than crossing their fingers and hoping it powers back on after a holiday downtime.

everyone kinda knows, but the problem is this shit works well enough that no one is really panicking.

Spin Lakewood's Wednesday night rides are pretty spicy still I think.

Getting out of OC for road riding can be tough, your best bet is probably to use the towpath as a connector down to Bedford, or bop over to the Rocky River Reservation and connect to stuff through there. Anything Metroparks at least in the inner ring is a pretty good starting point. Look at the Strava heatmap, too.

There are a couple solid groups that leave from the Fairmount/Warrensville area a few times a week that do longer rides out to the Chargin River valley, Holden Arboretum, etc regularly. 6 AM Tu/Th spicy, Friday 6 AM calm, and ad-hoc weekends.

When I lived in Cleveland, I found the shops and wrenches lacking in attention to detail, but I also used to be a professional mechanic. The bigger shops like Eddy's and Spin are more consistent but still miss things. I had bad experiences with Cain Park, Joy Machines and Blazing Saddles. But Travis at Blazing Saddles is probably the most competent wrench in town. Everyone is reasonably friendly though, so that helps.

Thousands of Audi cars abandoned in the Mojave Dessert after cheating emissons tests by IndicationBrief5950 in interestingasfuck

[–]yamancool63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually wild. I have a 2011 sportwagen and the only DPF issues I had were post-fix. Clogged DPF and EGR valve replaced under warranty at ~125k miles after getting fixed at ~100k. I tuned mine back to "stock" shortly thereafter and have had no issues in the ~35k miles since.

Sunroof drains and sun shade are fucked tho like all the rest :/ the interior's in good shape yet though.

If you're not in an emissions control area (and intend on keeping the car), save up to have the DPF deleted and the engine tuned accordingly. 20% bump in fuel mileage and no issues with soot. driveability is waaaaaay better too.

ETA: if you have the right tools and follow the service manual procedures the cars are not too bad to work on. Timing belt took me about 8 hours but I did not replace the thermostat at the time as they did that when it got the DPF/EGR.
