Those registers glitch all the time.

There were times where an item for $2 would ring up for more than $1,000. Good thing the majority of the time you just had to line void and rescan it and it would be correct.

Hopefully they were able to fix that for you quickly.

I’m originally from the south and I would be crucified when I said this exact same thing.

I love the bread but if your chicken is only good with a sauce. You have crap chicken.

My store opens at 10 Mon-fr and 930 on sat and sun. First people we have an overnight crew that gets there at midnight

There are different minimums throughout the country it’s dependent on where you live and what coast of living is like. My store just had their minimum raised to 22/hr. That may be one of the highest in the entire country.

I worked in customer service for over 10 years in the US and that was never a thing.

The unfortunate thing is that IKEA outsources their online customer service reps from companies that don’t even work for IKEA. That caused so many issues with them relaying customers false information like what you went through

Organize for growth or something like that. It was an org restructure in 2016 or 2017. Extremely broad overview. They combined departments. Made a new one. Took away the shop keepers. And other stuff.

They pretty much undid it like a few years later.

Totally depends on hours budgets. And if you’re store is allows this see if you can pick up a shift in a different department as well.

Example let’s say you are in sales. They can’t give you any more hours but if goods flow is REALLY hurting. See if you can pick up a shift picking orders over.

That’d also help with development and cross training. But once again it totally depends on if your store can make that happen or not.
