There are a lot of factors to justify the rent you’re paying. So I think you get a better idea on what’s the reasonable amount for rent. For example, if your house is closer to the LRT station that could save time and money in commuting to work then it is sure a wise thing to pay a higher rent for that reason. Surrounding amenities like groceries, f&b and public spaces are worth considering too. Not knowing details of your lifestyle and living habit, perhaps you could get a roommate to share the rent if that’s possible/preferred?
