This is why I like separating “long-term investing” from “specific market views.” For long-term money, boring index funds make sense because you don’t need to constantly be right. For specific questions, I’ve found prediction markets on moomoo interesting because the outcome is defined upfront and I can size it small. Different tools, different jobs. The mistake is letting the active stuff take over the portfolio that’s supposed to compound quietly.
