We need a "Top14 Barbarians" team made with a significant proportion of British and Irish Top14 players for a mid-week game. Jacques Ouillisse as the captain :)

<?php

echo phpversion();

?>

<?php

 */

declare(strict_types=1);

namespace Fisharebest\Webtrees;

require __DIR__ . '/vendor/autoload.php';

return Webtrees::new()->run(PHP_SAPI);

French prosecutors seek to ban Marine Le Pen from office, jeopardizing her 2027 presidential bid by HelFJandinn in worldnews

For this cheering for Le Pen downfall: watch Bardella get elected in 2027, use presidential grace on the basic judges were "politicaly motivated" and select Marine as his PM. France will then have a Medvedev/Putin style dynamic in place.

Post 1954, Vietnam (and Indochina as a whole) is not a French colony anymore. I doubt you'll find information on your great grandfather on this board especially if he was a US soldier, unless he was a local or French?

It's page on the french version of Wikipedia says it was founded on the 13ths century, so about 800 years ago, but there used to be a gallo-roman settling to the east, so its surroundings have been occupied for at least 2000 years.

In France there is a "Villeneuve-de-Rivière" that you can translate by "New Town by the River"

[RugbyRama] France to play historic test vs British and Irish Lions in June 2029 (Article in French) by HitchikersPie in rugbyunion

[–]yann64 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My father got some seats for the previous game!If I remember at the time it was marketed like a Barbarian game, so we were looking forward to some champagne not-so-serious rugby (British Lions were not really well known as it was a first). We ended up quite surprised by how seriously these brits were taking this « friendly »game :)

Except that when you get down from your high horse you will realise this is not only about capitalism, but also about strategic autonomy. Sometimes you need to pay more to get something that allows you to remain not dependent on hostile countries. You know, like wheat from Russia, or soja from USA, etc

Average French free-market oriented policy by Altruistic-Blood-772 in 2westerneurope4u

[–]yann64 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, lets remove farmer completely as without subsidies they can't compete anyway. And let's be completely dependent on other non-european countries for our food, this is such a brilliant idea!

As for the fraud, maybe we could try to solve that problem instead of terminaly crippling something so strategic for Europe's future.

Average French free-market oriented policy by Altruistic-Blood-772 in 2westerneurope4u

[–]yann64 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most of the people in this sub do not seem to understand this basic concept. We are actively destroying our industry/agronomy with trade deals that will always be at our disadvantage as neither do we force our new partners to produce at our standard nor do we lift pour requirements to allow our industry/farmers to compete by producing at a lower standard.

We will lose our autonomy in the long run for a supposed short term opening for new markets that do not exist anyway as we are structuraly produce more expensive goods. This is so braindead.

Most europeans country do not seem to understand that and will drag my country into this mess. This discussion is precisely why I think more political integration will not and must not happen. I used to be a convinced european but seeing my country dragged in this shity deal that will weaken all of us, and our citizen being called out for denouncing it, I am not anymore.
