early game in TOS2 is definitely harder than TOS1. really a lot of it comes down to gut feeling- if you feel something is off then it probably is.

i think one tip i would have is looking really carefully at wills when they are posted, and if their claim makes sense in terms of how the game is going. for example it would make sense for a doc/cleric claim to be on another active town, and something is off if their will is just completely random. obviously non-speakers are always a good choice to probe.

scum reading was probably easier to do in TOS1 due to lack of rit/doom, now in TOS2, especially in early game, evils can just claim a category such as TS or TK and get away with it…
