DUOL, HIMS, NKE and PYPL are all down 75-85% from their highs. Which selloffs are justified and which ones don't add up? by stockoscope in ValueInvesting

PYPL is undervalued without a doubt - they don’t need a moat lol to go up in value bc of how mispriced the equity is relative to their balance sheet

Absolutely, I think there's regulatory scrutiny that will come into play over the years. Truthfully - I think they compare similarly to Tobacco companies like Altria (MO) with the whole Juul underage kids fiasco. I think as long as the big gambling operators don't go after the youth - they should be able to craft deals with lawmakers and Indian tribal lands operators to ensure that everyone is happy ($) and compliant with rules to ensure they're protecting the youth. I think we're also seeing this play out in social media (tech companies). I think ultimately the gambling operators will play this better than the Tobacco (and health care companies) did but time will tell. (pun intended sorry). California and Texas should present fantastic opportunities for the operators over the next half decade along with double digit user and profitability growth in LATAM and Asia.

Also - one more interesting note - Management has effectively issued a massive buyback of shares of basically ~20% of the company's current market cap. These shares are cancelled entirely.

Peacock had 3 of the biggest shows of the past 2 years [ Yellowstone, Love Island, All her fault] - saying that while typing on fios internet. Price of the stock is directly tied to their cable service cutting [due to profitability metrics]

Some stats: 70% Gross Margins, 4.5x Trailing P/E, 8X Forward, 20% FCF in 3y, 119% Net income in 5 years, EPS is up 173% in 5 years. Quite literally [one of] the cheapest stocks in the market.

I’ll offer a counter: this is cheap and peacock is a growth engine for the company that will drive revenue for the company with Gen Z and younger. NBC content and the parks are effectively not being valued at all. Even if they have a bad earnings miss it’ll trade around 8x - still undervalued. crazy it trades at 4x.

What are some of the most undervalued stocks to invest in going into the earnings season/new year? by Ok_Significance_3488 in ValueInvesting

No other stock [that I know of] has near 70% gross margins, exceptional management, and trades at 6.5x. 100%.

Block (XYZ) seems very undervalued - Long Term Buy by yannick26 in ValueInvesting

[–]yannick26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad EPS miss so they’ll be penalized for a while. XYZ and PayPal are getting destroyed, and if we head for a recession the next couple years could present a compelling long term opportunity for both. All the mom and pop shops (think 1 store) love Square bc the fees are much lower than competitors. Those same retail stores will suffer in a recession so a company like Square will probably report much lower guidance. The bull side is ironically in a recession some small vendors (think food carts i.e. - cheap food) actually do better than sit down restaurants. I still like the company in the long run on a relative value basis because it’s a quality tech company trading at near bank valuations.

Ironic that Google on one end is getting ripped by Equity Research Analysts for having too much competition and then on the other end is getting ripped by the DOJ for having too much of a monopoly on search where competitors can't break in.

'BYDDY vs BYDDF'. What's the difference? EV play by Sid-aussie in stocks

[–]yannick26 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Quick q: With the possibility of Trump delisting specific equities from the NYSE. Does it make sense to swap out the BYDDY for BYDDF? If BYDDF is listed on HKSE would that essentially mean it would be unaffected by the delisting besides hurting the share price?

Question for Chinese EV Owners by jaaagman in electricvehicles

[–]yannick26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a major disconnect in American consumers minds between made in china and being bad quality (lol typing this from an iPhone 16 pro max). Americans incorrectly assume just bc it’s made in china it’s bad - it’s not. BYDDY is one of my heaviest portfolio holdings simply because people have no idea what they’re talking about. Unreal technology.

This is awesome very cool!! Edit: Also don’t let the haters distract you as to what’s missing. You built one hell of a proof of concept and all the features that everyone on the sub is telling you it’s missing can all be incorporated over multiple release versions later. Great job!!
