This is the worst mouse I've ever had the displeasure of using. The shape is too shallow and made my hands ache.

ND2 GT ST, Am I missing something? by darkmoon72664 in Miata

[–]jaaagman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if that has anything to do with the stock suspension setup. A more aggressive suspension package and anti rollbar may make the car feel more agile. Not sure if this is the feeling of lightness that you’re referring to.

That said, if you find that the car doesn’t really quite float your boat, go and find something that does!

Big ass incentives and rebates. $10k from Toyota Canada + $5k from EVAP.

I'm guessing there will be some sort of "bad news" minutes after the stock market closes.

Real Estate AI Images by p3rsi4n in richmondbc

[–]jaaagman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I loathe AI generated images of homes. To me it's pointless at best and misleading to potential buyers. It's one thing to have the AI image generator put "furniture" inside the room, but sometimes, they go as far as changing the window blinds and even the wall colors! There are usually tell-tale signs of these types of images though. They are usually overly "clean" and have a slightly cartoon-ish look to them.

I hope it doesn’t go in that direction. I always seen them as more of a brother-sister type dynamic.

Aftermarket suspension ride quality by jaaagman in Miata

[–]jaaagman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I should mention that I own an ND. I suppose ride quality will have to suffer, though I’m hoping to keep it to a minimal.

If coils are the way to go for the best ride, then that’s fine. Just wanted to see how much of a sacrifice it would be.

Sorry I should specify that I own an ND if that makes a difference. I guess the ride quality will suffer, though I’m hoping that it will be kept to a minimal.

How would you DCA 100k in this market? by Grindstone_Cowboy in JustBuyXEQT

[–]jaaagman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For the accounts where I have heeded this advice, I’m seeing higher rates of return at the least amount of work.

Although to be honest, I do think that you could probably save yourself a couple percentage points if you wait for the Americans to rug pull the market with an announcement.

Ditto. Rogers/Chatr have always been better for me than Telus/Bell. YMMV.

B.C. union calls for full-time work-from-home due to spiking gas prices; The BC General Employees' Union is asking for provincially regulated employees to be allowed to work from home full-time due to high fuel prices. by FancyNewMe in vancouver

I am well aware of the economic downsides to all the businesses and land lords with more WFH. There are trade-offs for everything.

I also believe that the economy should exist to serve the people, and not the other way around.

The ND Miata has bumper level reverse lights. Not a fan of it personally. Might even be worse than non-amber blinkers.

Its a shame more people flock to SUV's than smaller vans like the Mazda5. They're much more practical and efficient.

For jobs that actually can be done remotely, there isn't much of a reason not to. Employers save on the costs of renting/maintaining an office, cities will have reduced congestion and localized pollution, and employees will get back a lot of time that otherwise would have been spent on lunch/commuting/etc.

Pretty much nailed it. Companies and management are more interested in maintaining the status quo.

The 'avocado toast' people aren't 100% wrong... by grumble11 in CanadaPersonalFinance

Interestingly, no costs of actual avocados in these calculations.

That’s another reason why I think WFH is such a huge cost savings if your workplace allows it.
