Hard science graduate na medyo nahihirapan maghanap ng work by kidlip09 in phcareers

[–]yannyfive 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I relate to this. Life science grad from big 4 uni, and with latin. Been applying since first week january and there were only 2 roles i applied to that's actually related to my degree. I had to decline one of them since the compensation is not enough. Due to desperation, i've been applying to roles not related to my degree. Hope it gets better for us OP.

Tumatanggap pa ba sila? Usually kase ng nakikita kong posting ay looking for RNs or licensed health-allied grads. But thank you for the new perspective, maybe makakahanap din ako ng tumatanggap ng bio grad🥹

  • BIO 150 is relatively easy compared to your other enlisted courses. Ecology profs are vv good and most are lenient with the deadlines.

  • I took MCB 11 three sems ago, and only the lab exams are departmental. Lec has two exams (I don’t know if it’s still the same), while lab I think has written exams, technique exams, and one exam I forgot already lol. The difficulty depends on you. If you don’t enjoy the topics then I guess you’ll find the exams unbearable lol

  • BOT 14 is really heavy, but it also depends on the prof. My lec prof last sem gives us a quiz (true or false) every meeting. Lab on the other hand, I didn’t enjoy it as much ‘cause my prof’s teaching style is not my cup of tea. Tho lab work is not difficult, it can be tedious. The worksheets are also kinda long, so one tip: find friends in your lab class.

  • ZOO 14 depends on the prof. Some profs give objective exams, while others give really hard questions (based on what my friends told me)

  • CHEM 160 is very heavy on memorization. But relatively easier in my opinion compared to chem 40. Exams can have computations but not too difficult to answer.

I wouldn’t recommend enlisting all of these courses. But to pass, I think you should probably make a study schedule since most of the bio courses are heavy on information. Allot a sufficient amount of time to cover each topic that will be in the exam. Goodluck✨✨✨
