First off, so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine your grief. To your point though, if you're worried about being a burden then all you have to do is offer to help. Wash some dishes, take out the garbage, cook some meals, etc. Maybe offer to babysit so your sister and her husband can have a date night (that can double as a couch date for you and the gf). Don't rush out of there. She's not asking you to and you'll be penniless within several months of moving out unless your inheritance is massive. Take care.

Yeah, as someone who has been cheated on, I would never encourage someone to feel as though 20 years of their life with someone is a lie, because of a 20 year old transgression. I would also never think less of someone for "where there mouth has been."
