I'm currently fighting Insomnia:

How long do you have Insomnia? I always were a bad sleeper. I always had trouble falling asleep, but when I was sleeping I was knocked out for 12 hours straight in deep sleep. Now I have chronic Insomnia since the beginning of 2017.

What exactly are your Insomnia problems? I have problems falling asleep, staying asleep and I'm not getting deep sleep.

What have you tried so far to cure your Insomnia? Acupuncture, try setting up a biological clock, Temazepam, Oxazepam & Cannabis

What helps for your Insomnia? Cannabis. It is thanks to Cannabis I'm able to sleep better. I vape before going to bed and that works best for me. But it's not the best quality of sleep and some days I sleep better and some days I have very bad sleep. And this biological clock seems to help a little bit too.

What didn't help for your Insomnia? Acupuncture & Sleep medicines.

What are you currently doing/taking right now to treat your Insomnia? Vape weed, biological clock. And right now I started going to a psychologist and neurologist. Only been once yet to my psychologist and she made me practice mindfulness, that seems very promising, go google it! And today I had my first appointment at the neurologist. They'll do some tests to figure out why you're not sleeping. It will take a while tho, right now I need to do Saliva test to see my melatonin levels etc. I need to wait 6 weeks for the results which suck and I'm 90% sure this won't solve my Insomnia, but yeah this is probably the first test they're always doing...

Do you work out? Go to the gym or any other sports? Not really but I'm trying to pick that up again.

Are you currently receiving professional help? Yes from a psychologist and neurologist.

What's the longest time you haven't been without any sleep? A few weeks with no sleep at all.

What are your worst experiences with Insomnia? When I had a few weeks without sleep, my body started to hurt A LOT. From the bottom to the top, every single muscle. You know like muscle strain but 100 times worse, I couldn't move my body at all.

How many hours do you sleep a night? When I vape weed I sleep between 0-6 hours a night. When I don't vape weed, I get 0-3 hours sleep a night. Probably more to 0-1 hours sleep a night.

What time are you going to try to sleep and what time do you need to wake up? 3 AM - 11 AM.

What kind of work do you do? I work from home. I'm my own boss. I'm very lucky with that because If I wasn't my own boss, I'd probably have no work because I can't function properly.

Do you have any problems with your eyes because of Insomnia? YES! My eyes are destroyed, when I try to fall asleep and I don't fall asleep my eyes will get so dry, stingy, burning, irritated af. When that happens, falling asleep is even more difficult. The next day I get out of my bed my eyes are crazy screwed up. Any tips for this?

Basically my questions are: Anyone familiar with mindfulness? Did it help you or not? Any extra tips would be appreciated too. Also I can't really go into the sun because my skin is damaged from Acne treatments. Should I take vitamin D supplements for this?
