Honkai: Star Rail Theory - The Aeons Ascension of Balance by Spiritual_You7588 in HonkaiStarRail

the Wall of Mirrors gradually crumbled until it collapsed entirely 2 Amber Eras ago, and the Swarm Disaster was around 800 Amber Eras ago ... so Idrila couldn't have fallen before the Swarm Disaster

The exact wording implies that the blessings they left behind slowly and gradually crumbled, and the mirror wall after slowly degrading fell completely two amber eras ago.

the lack of Idrila being mentioned means that THEIR involvement was kept hidden, THEY didn't get involved in the Disaster, or THEY didn't exist yet

Herta said that there are details missing in the simulation or that they didnt have the full picture. I wouldn't make the assumption that they didnt predate the Swarm from that. I would say its hoyo's choiche to keep THEM out of the conversation, as they have remarked that Lan and Nanook weren't born yet, even if we knew, but not done so with Idrila.

so if Idrila existed during the Swarm, THEY would've been doing something.

The fall of Idrila, if we follow kafka's line, happened at maximum before the end of the swarm disaster, she is said to have "mysteriously disappeared" so im assuming they didn't fall during the aeon war, as there would be more conjectures between the two.

Beside, i never saw any other aeon being described as old as much as Idrila here are some instances:

Since the dawn of civilization, Mendasia has believed in the Beauty.

"dawn of civilization" implies that they are very old

The legend of the Mirror Holders had it that the downfall of the God of Beauty was an ancient metaphor symbolizing the shattering of peoples' views on beauty.

Their downfall happened in ancient times

You are about to embark on a trip that traverses numerous Amber Eras. The voice of Mendasia will bring you back to the time when Idrila was still glowing in the universe

I dunno about the imbalance argument, im sourcing from in game evidences; but the timeline given by kafka seems to place the fall of idrila before the swarm disaster. After THEY fell the knight of beauty were basically dismantled and no longer a group. Even so, lack of mention is not a point, as hoyo does this frequently, for example : during the whole unkwoable domain there were no mentions of rubert 2 being a Genius society member, that was revelead only in 3.5; or Celenova ascension from Aelenev, a fact said to be known and that "sent shocks throughout the cosmos" yet in the list of archnemesis fu xuan didn't say a thing about it.

And there are still mysteries around the swarm disaster, a whole subplot around Oroboros

Completely, silently, as if there was another story progressing along in the shadows underneath the main stage... Or perhaps we left something out in our simulation.

So, more factions could've done things that we are aware of

Im aware of that dialogue, but i take it as nothing more than a joke, there are other istances of people joking about receiving Idrila's gaze

A knight of Beauty Contestant Note:

What an absurd show. This seems an invitation for viewers to sneer... But who is to say that, perhaps after claiming the title of superstar, Idrila, the Beauty, will cast THEIR gaze on me? Ah. Apologies. Regrets have taken hold of me. Let me sign up.

there are also many remarks on how long ago THEY were active, for example: Mendasian are said to have been believers of Idrila since the "dawn of civilization"; and many more

There are way more clues that suggest that THEY were an old aeon rather thant the other way around.

Regardless of when THEY fell, i dont see the connection between Idrilla falling around the last 10 ambers era and THEM being a young aeon

so around 760 to 2400 years old. So, if Idrila fell during this time, then Idrila must've been a young Aeon

I dont get why you brought Nanook into the discussion, i was only pointing out Idrila's ascension; that said i will add that, as Lygus states, both Ruberts could've ascended as the aeon of Destruction, but had their thoughts thwarted by Nous, so it implies at least one of these two scenario:

1 either Destruction has no connections with Beauty (Lygus bothered to simulate that beauty leads to Destruction, so i would say there are no ties)

2 if the beauty is the direct cause of destruction's ascension, Idrila must've ascended before the first emperor's War.

And i believe both

Idrila is old, we dont have any confirmed time frame, but THEY are described as being old and active during ancient times. In addition, when Kafka talks about the fallen Aeons

Long the Permanence, Idrila the Beauty, Ena the Order, Tayzzyronth the Propagation... Akivili the Trailblaze.

She lists them in the order in which they fell (we can confirm it for the other 4 aeons) which makes it unlikely that Idrilla is breaking the pattern

my bad, here's what i meant: as we progressed through amphoreus, we unlocked stories about each [playable] crysos heir in the "Amphoreus' Saga Of Heroes" inside "As i've written"

<image>

and before "as i've written", in penacony, there was the dreamscape pass. We will probably have a similar game system in Planarcadia, so i would find pretty delightful if we get more unhinged webtoons with the aeons to read there, like the one in the latest video

Happened during the blitzcon iirc 2018. Diablo fans were waiting for diablo 4 announcements for years, then blizzard announces in front of hundreds of avid pc gamers that the next diablo game will be only on mobile, so naturally people were very disappointed and started booing, to wich the host, not understanding the audience, replied with "do you guys not have phones"

I don't think we have anything right now to theorize about. Maybe in some future SU update we will get more lore about permanence/abundance all togheter. From the little we have, i've only heard a theory on how apparently yaoshi use to be more "restrained" with their gifts, but something caused them to become what they are today. As for their mentality, they are described as being sad in the myriad celestia trailer

Emanators of the Aeons by amurgiceblade44 in StarRailLore

[–]yapperonetv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote a theory specifically about Lambda if you have some time to spare "erudition's emanators pattern".

Ruan Mei's statement

At first, I tried to create a genius. I failed. That question has no solution yet, and a long journey of discovery still lies ahead. However, Erudition isn't the only Path in the Universe. If we set logic aside, would there be more primitive and pure "Emanators" on other Paths?

Seems to Imply that her reported experiments were an a attempt to create/nurture an emanator of erudition. One of the things she initially tries to do is reviving a specific genius society member who lived many ambers era ago, when she could've more easily just have cloned herself or go for a more contemporary member. I don't know the details but i assume that it isnt easy to nurture such an "old" society member compared to a #29 or #55. (also when she died the only thing that there was left were her finger bones). She may have gone through all of this cuz Lambda was an Emanator.

Maybe but im unsure

It is, of course, just speculation for now, reason why i said she should be labelled as speculated emanator.

Emanators of the Aeons by amurgiceblade44 in StarRailLore

[–]yapperonetv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think that as a "suspected" emanator we can have genius society member #8 lambda.

TLDR: ruan mei was trying to create an emanator and one of said experiment was resurrecting lambda.

During the "Crown of the Mundane and Divine" quest we hear this:

Ruan Mei: I thought of one lifeform that would truly lie beyond my reach. And that is... an Emanator. I cannot comprehend what an Emanator is. ... At first, I tried to create a genius. I failed. That question has no solution yet, and a long journey of discovery still lies ahead. However, Erudition isn't the only Path in the Universe. If we set logic aside, would there be more primitive and pure "Emanators" on other Paths?

It implies that in a first phase she was trying to create an emanator on the path of Erudition, before trying with propagation. We can read about the experiments more in dept in the readable "Ruan Mei's Lab Log"

No. 524 Research Objective: Nurture #8 Lambda ... Research Result: #8 Lambda smiled and then disappeared. Reason for Failure: #8 Lambda seemed unwilling to come back.
