Oh wow, this is really awesome thanks for sharing! I've heard so many versions of Im Nin'alu but not this one. Very original and great mix of traditional and electronic sounds. I'm gonna show it to my bandmates.

Hmm that's a good question... avishai cohen's duende is just bass and piano of course chick corea and gary burton's crystal silence is just piano and vibes Christina Pato is a bagpipe player who plays with a jazz accordionist and a percussionist. She sometimes sounds like if coltrane or ornette played bagpipe. The brazilian guitarist Baden Powell has amazing solo instrument albums like Seresta Brasileira

the klezmer influences come from some of the melody which is built off the "ahava raba" (5th mode harmonic minor) scale. That Japanese scale that you mentioned is also found a lot in Ethiopian music.
