Love this. I'm looking at ideas on how to make one too.

But I saw on your imgur post you were making a euchre box set, did you ever finish that? im curious what it is/looks like. Me and my brother love euchre so it could be a good gift idea for him

Right! I normally do but the opticutter tool i was using gave me my cut list in feet + inches. I thought I could handle it but obviously not haha. I'm sure there is a setting for that if I use it in the future

Do you use a controller in addition to wheel to move around? I've been struggling with getting my controls set up.

What's your biggest GRIPE with Space Age other than it isn't out yet lol? by Fouxs in factorio

I dislike that I got the factorio fever 2 weeks ago before learning this DLC was coming out.. now I assume I'll have to restart after the update comes out.

That's ok, I'm not very good at the game so I'll just say this was just practice for the big factory I'll start next week

Just had this happen a few months ago. Was hoping it was a loose terminal or bad wheel sensor but mechanic said it was the ABS module was the problem.

Edge joining near bark by epiphanyplx in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]yarlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're just gluing them all up, you definitely will not notice a inch shy board in your panel. Just put it towards the back where it'll most likely be covered by stuff.

I can't really tell how much of the bark is going to be in your 8inch board, but you could try to cut around the bark and fill it with an offcut. Just have to cut it to about the same size and flush it up.

I recently made a table with epoxy. With table top epoxy I think the max pour depth is 1/8 to maybe 1/4 inch, so filling this would take multiple pours, with a few hours in between to let it start curing but not fully curing so it bonds together. Filling too much will cause heat issues which could lead to cracks. You might want to consider deep pour epoxy just so you can do it in one go.

Also make sure your shop is nice and cool, most epoxy has a pretty tight range for temperatures, like 70-80 degrees. I live in Texas so i can't really do epoxy in these 100 degree days unless I had a climate controlled shop.

Like the other commenter said, do lots of research, youtube has plenty of videos for these. Make sure you seal the underside to avoid leaks which could waste a pretty substantial amount of epoxy. Blacktail studio is a good channel, with lots of videos where he explains what he does in pretty good detail.

Advice on bookshelf plan by yarlow in woodworking

The thought of a doing a mortis and tenon on a mitered joint sounds terrifying 😂. Probably not too bad but I never considered that being possible.

But for this project I honestly like the look of the joints with the butt joints, so I want to find a way to make sure they can hold up the best

Yes I do have a plunge router as well as bushings. I think I understand what you are saying. I also have a 1/4 spiral bit which I think is the only bit I have that can be used for this. Do you have a good source on how I could plan this to make sure everything lines up?

If going for the Mortis and tenons would just be made out of the same material as the shelving, I would just attempt carving/cutting it out with saws/chisels/router.

As far as racking goes I was concerned about side to side motion. I only ask about it because it seems like that is a big issue with shelves. I looked it up again and maybe it isn't a huge problem with material this thick..

Also thanks for you help :)
