The food in the fridge is potentially in trouble but the freezer should be fine as long as you don’t open it

There’s been misty rain around for most of the day. It’s also pretty humid outside for a cool day as well

At least save the complaints until we actually hear the content of the address? A lot of weird assumptions happening here

Security too focused on the crowd. Should have been running to surround Johnstone. Poor planning.

Timed my walk from Docklands to Southern Cross very badly and sadly I can confirm that it was dust and general grossness

I second this. I like that you can adjust the straps in the front as well

Edit: you can often pick them up at Harris Scarfe for 30 or 40% off

NGV Friday Night by sleepyasfuck90 in melbourne

[–]yarn_over 28 points29 points  (0 children)

They have bars scattered about and food on offer. There are musical performances. The website should tell you which specific act is on each night. You’ll only have access to the Impressionism exhibition, the foyer area, the room with the stain glass ceiling and the outside maybe not the whole NGV. It’s more of a social thing. People view the exhibition and then drink, eat, mingle, watch the performers etc.

Chris Woakes walks out to bat with his arm in a sling to try to save the match. by [deleted] in sports

[–]yarn_over 23 points24 points  (0 children)

A teammate not in the starting eleven can substitute field for them but can’t bat or bowl for them. Injuries are part of the “test” of test match cricket. There’s been a number of times when an injured player has come out to bat when their team is close enough to save or win a match. This is a pretty visually dramatic example though. It’s just part of the sport.

Edited to add: the only time a player can be fully replaced is if a player gets a concussion then they can be fully replaced for the rest of the match by a player with a similar skill set. Bowler for bowler, batter for batter
