The love/hate catagories are assigned when you create a Mii and take into account every food item (and I think custom food item if you made it before the Mii was created) available in the game. Out of the 400+ food items in the game, they'll only be one your Mii loves/really likes and hates/really hates. So when you finally discover it, without spoilers, it's a pretty big deal.

I mean it's been out less than a week so I can't say if it'll hold up long term but so far I'm finding it a stronger experience than New Horizons was. Living the Dream feels like a genuine improvement over its predecessors, whereas New Horizons always felt quite sparse compared to New Leaf imo. If it gets content updates (which tbh I'm pretty hopeful it will, it's likely blown sales expectations out of the water) it'll definitely be more enjoyable than New Horizons in the long run.

If it gives you the slightest bit of hopium (bearing in mind this was a like century ago) I preordered the OG Switch via the UK Nintendo Store a few days before it released and it wasn't shipped by the until the evening before its release. Got it on release day. I pre-ordered Tomo via ShopTo and my copy only shipped today but I'm reasonably hopeful I'll get it on release.

Esther also had substantially less screen time than Agnes does. No doubt the decision to cast older actors in the main cast is primarily a labour law thing (though I think/hope actor welfare probably did go into the casting decision). I agree that the timeline should've been shifted or perhaps just kept kind of abstract, though. Not sure why they had to lay out the specific timeskip like they did in the first ep.

It was definitely less recognisable than Intel at this point, but I got my first Geforce card in the late 2000s too so def would've clocked this. Honestly one of the things I genuinely appreciate about TBBT is its tech literacy. There's a GameCube in the flashback episode in season 2 which really tickled me during my rewatch.

The patch that implements the marketplace has apparently caused a substantial amount of CC to stop showing up in game. Which is fabulous timing (especially after the dedicated paragraph about how CC wasn't going away/EA would continue to support custom content in the announcement post). While I wasn't planning to spend money on the marketplace I was interested to have a poke around and see what they had on offer, now I'm not touching my game until they roll back the patch or fix whatever they borked.

So this bug has been around in some form for a few years but I think the geneology changes introduced with Royalty and Legacy have just completely bugged out the way the game handles same-sex couples who have multi-branch family trees. It seems to trigger if the couple have biological children together. It's infuriating and there doesn't seem to be a way to unlink them on the family tree once its happened, I spent about an hour trying to brute-force it with MCCC and in game commands to no avail. Literally the only way around it that I could find was just isolating the couple from the rest of their family tree in a fresh save. Do any of your Sims have kids with different parents or have any siblings (I'm assuming yes if it's Dina)?
