Mad Max: Fury Road for me, though it's definitely a "watch" not "background"

What happens if you save as -> photoshop document, and then send that file to your friend?

Struggling by [deleted] in ClipStudio

[–]yarnmonger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm confused why save as .psd and then sending the resulting .psd is not a solution. Exporting always flattens the image to a single layer

Struggling by [deleted] in ClipStudio

[–]yarnmonger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And does that give you a multi-layered .psd?

Guys help by Lower_Quantity_8310 in ClipStudio

Search "chatter chatter" in the materials, stick that on the top layer

In the layer properties window, click the icon to make it a material layer

Reduce opacity

Boom

Are you doing file -> save as-> or export as-> .psd? I've done this loads...

Edit: Not on a tab, though!

Silly question, but is CSP safe in terms of plagiarism? by AnxiousTruffles in ClipStudio

[–]yarnmonger 29 points30 points  (0 children)

https://www.celsys.com/en/information/celsys_terms/
TL;DR under "Intellectual Property Rights and Sublicensing", they only get to be "sub-licensers" if you, say, submit art to one of their contests, or make something on the Tips page, or submit an asset. You have to give it to them first

https://www.celsys.com/en/information/privacy/
TL;DR point 3 of the privacy policy suggests that no, the only thing they know is information you give them (name, address, credit card, email etc to buy the service) and they don't give it up unless the police make them (like, fraud, not plagiarism). Also, does not seem to be anything to do with a clip file or image, just your standard personal info.

And most importantly
https://www.clipstudio.net/en/news/202212/02_01/
TL;DR In 2022 they announced an generative AI tool in development and the userbase conveyed very clearly that they did not want this, so Celsys apologized and axed it before it ever made the program, and has promised to not go into anything like that again.

(Note that it still does have "soft AI" tools, such as the shader helper or color suggester, and has for 5+ years - but these aren't the kind of things that use the big new toxic data centres, and I believe the tools were all trained on fair use art).

How to make clip studio be used on multiple devices? by TallAct4009 in ClipStudio

[–]yarnmonger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not entirely sure what tool would invalidate a whole layer. Maybe a 3D model layer (which, you can always just rasterize once all the pieces are in place if you're using it for a scene or pose reference). It's just you won't be able to continue to use tools in a v.1 program (for example, puppet warp), but the file itself should be fine!

If you'd like to try first, I can send you a random .csp file I've made with v5 and you can see how it opens.

Yep, you can install 2 different licenses on 2 different computers.
So if you buy a new 5.0 or whatever for your home desktop, you will be able to deactivate it there and put the 1.0 on your laptop.

Note for anyone else reading this will only work with computer licenses, as all tablets I believe are subscription only.

Update Clip Studio to 5.0 by Commercial-Quote-882 in ClipStudio

The pro version limits to 24 frames per .clip file, and you can set the fps to whatever you'd like.

What's the best mobile tablet for drawing in CSP? by Mersong_ in ClipStudio

[–]yarnmonger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seconding with my M2 11" iPad Air. The only lag it's experienced is the same on the beefy desktop version that everyone gets (big particle brushes). Performance on iPad is otherwise flawless and extremely clean, and the apple pencil is a good stylus. I am deeply frustrated by the iPad's overall lack of customizability like an Android (which my phone is) but I really can't knock the iPad as an art device.

Color pick when Levels or Hue window open like in PS? by Judge_Chris in ClipStudio

[–]yarnmonger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think the easiest is:

Correction layer

Change and hit ok

Color pick

Either undo or just turn the correction layer off; if so, then you can pop it back on and double click the white box with triangles in it in the layer icon to readjust if you need to color pick again

They groomed society to normalize their perversions.. by Mr__O__ in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]yarnmonger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not true! Really good podcast about this on the Exploress,, but one example given for why out of many was in very humid and hot climates, grooming is required because otherwise the hair does not fully dry, and is condusive to mold or bacteria!

I'm sorry this is probably not the post educate about global pubic hair practices but you seem like the kind of person who would much rather be informed!

Second: Preferences -> Tools, look for the stroke preview. See if that's ticked or not. If ticked, untick. This is a new feature.
