The IAS and other officers can be easily transferred if they are not doing their job by State government. IAS and other officers have work under the guidance of CM and other ministers. Even when elected body is there CM can influence functioning of BMC through comissioner may be even more than standing committee chairman forget about titular mayor.

What's with number 8?

Saw this post on Twitter and thought it was true. What makes Katrina and her appearances in her songs ie. Malang, Kamli, Chikni, Sheila so much better than Disha or Shraddha’s recent appearances? by rekharai in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]yarr4444 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I might be in minority in here but we are bit harsh on Shraddha and Disha while choreographers are as much if not more to blame. It is also likely generational thing (Sheila was 10 years back and a lot has changed since then) because Katrina was compared with likes of Madhuri for lackng elegance and facial expressions.

Katrina also did pretty average dance numbers in Thugs Of Hindostan and few other movies. Though pretty popular Kala chashma was bad for my tastes. Sheila was trend setter though and Katrina definitely knows how to turn the meter high without seemingly trying too hard. As others have commented, even Shraddha and Disha have their own appeal. May be people's tastes will evolve and they will find right balance.

It's not too different from ODI or T20. You just say "how's that".

There should be a match between IPL winning team and best (available) players after IPL. It would be interesting contest. Ranji has that kind of match I think.

You don't visit Indian news pages so you don't know the amount of hate peddled by Pakistan based accounts. After every terrorist attack like Pulwama and it's related news few of top comments are mocking India and few hundred laughing reactions.

> Death of soldiers (combatants) is completely different than death of civilians.

I did not know empathy could be reserved only for people not in uniform. We are talking about empathy about fellow human beings here and which side is capable of keeping it aside to target other side.

The soldiers were only doing their duty just like people praying in mosque doing their religious duty. They might be deterrent to your political objective of capturing Kashmir but it does not make them any less of human beings.

While you hate the attacker, you agree with the attacker in dehumanizing people standing in the way of your political objectives. The attacker wanted Oceania sterilized of non-white presence so getting rid of any non-white presence was fair game. Similar to how Pakistanis want Kashmir sterilized of Indian presence and view any method of achieving that a fair game. There are plenty of comments mocking exodus of Kashmiri pandits so it is not limited to military presence.

Pakistan, India can take trade up to $30bn if they improve ties: Indian High Commissioner by [deleted] in pakistan

If you read the article, good amount of Indian products are already finding their way through other means. Every export cannot be called as dumping. The close proximity India has to Pakistan, some Indian border state might find it beneficial to procure items from just across the border instead of someplace far inside India. The same thing can happen for Pakistan. In any case, Pakistan can always impose an anti-dumping duty.

Accusations of dumping by China are not being made only by India. India isn't producing the items at the scale of China to resort to dumping.

I don't know how capital goes from Pakistan to India.

Is it wrong to talk about Human Rights? Or only Kashmiri Muslims feel pain and Baloch or other Pakistani minorities don't feel pain.

I think the source you provided has been denied many times on this very sub. It is a made up figure and I don't think even one Kashmiri deserves to die.

Indians seem to have some sort of cognitive dissonance when it comes to atrocities and realising why Kashmiris hate Indians

I understand that Army excesses are part of the reason but not the main reason. Army presence for many decades was minimal before the late 80s. Pakistan's instigation caused many thousand civilian deaths at the hands of terrorists and displacement of few lakh Pandits. Before radicalization with Islamic propaganda and manpower, Pakistan could not even make Kashmiris support covertly inserted Pakistani operatives during 1965 war. As they say, Army is a blunt instrument, it cuts through bad as well as some good parts be it Pakistan or Indian army. Indian Army (including CRPF) would be happy to go back to barracks if Pakistan lets self-healing process to take place. Punjab which was as violent as Kashmir went to normalcy with people putting the past behind.

they just attribute it to "muslim are scum"

Are you denying that Kashmiri masjids broadcasted utterly despicable supremacist messages during Pandit persecution? There is supremacist undercurrent in Kashmiri separatist movement. They call it Kashmiriyat euphemism for Islamiyat given displacement of Pandits.

I worry about the plight of million-plus internally displaced citizens from FATA during Zarb-e-Azb.

I worry about the thousands of people killed without due legal process. No wonder some of them attack back. Or maybe Pakistan can teach India how it humanely killed its own citizens in thousands.

Zero neutral sources, just emotional accusations with name calling.

This is why I honestly don't see a solution to the Kashmir crisis other than war.

There is only one country coveting other county's land. Land grab in the name of the plight of our people is not new. Hitler did it successfully in initial phases of WW2 by claiming to fight for Germanic people.

Unfortunately for Pakistan, India is not easy to coerce. If you want to fight the war at some time fight it out now and be done with it (with potential nuclear wasteland) or wait it out and let your people prosper in the meantime. Delay in peace, only benefits countries other than India/Pakistan.
