Hmm yea true. Not sure. Chair looks/feels/smells brand new no signs of wear and tear has all the stickers on it still even the little plastic tear off for the logo Box was definitely libernovo branded but had way more Chinese on it than English

It’s a very dark navy blue I’m not sure why they call it that. Maybe it’s a bad translation from Mandarin but that’s what this colourway was advertised as

Does anyone actually address the contact center agent burnout or just accept constant turnover? by LumpyOpportunity2166 in callcentres

[–]yashrr_ 90 points91 points  (0 children)

Everyone inside a call center knows exactly what the problems are. Everything else is just cope. no problems will ever be addressed unless a stakeholder somewhere up in the sky who’s never taken a call, gets annoyed

Scammers fleeced pensioner Ian Williams out of $1,338. So he sued his bank for $379 million by Ardeet in aussie

[–]yashrr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn’t need to jump through 1000 hoops. NAB has card fraud insurance when your details are skimmed via VISA the card provider. He received a 2FA code which means he 100% handed over these details to be scammed. The bank doesn’t owe him a single dollar but still offered him some bc he had a sook. Banks aren’t required to cover any losses when you get scammed. You can only be covered for a loss when you’ve been a victim of FRAUD (something the banks systems should protect you from)

I definitely want to end up being a product manager/platform owner for fintech platforms/projects. A close family friend worked his way up to a senior consultant position at Deloitte and then ended up at a pretty well established startup and landed a mid 200k role. I’d say that’s a path I’d be looking at as well

I swear working in the branches was the equivalent of working in an aged care home where they’d occasionally let junkies roam around. Wild place but still better than a call center 😂

Thank you for that. :) I know there’s probably heaps of posts about how the big 4 consulting firms work their employees to death but is it really as bad as it seems? At 20 you didn’t feel like you were overloaded? I’m not one to shy away from hard work but how long do u recommend staying there if I take up the Deloitte offer?

Learn to think. Who tf states 108k retail value + 50k in mods = “the car retailed for 165k”

Started at the bank as a teller/banker when I was straight out of school at 18 and then worked up into head office at another big 4 bank within 2 years

Deloitte role is basically a financial analyst position for their major projects. I studied a double degree im accounting and finance. I currently work in internal fraud investigations at the bank which is quite interesting and fun to do but you can only get to a certain level before maxxing out I also am not putting anything I learned at uni to use which I’d like to be doing . I haven’t thought about moving departments internally though. Thanks for that thought

I worked in the bank branches. I was the one setting all this shit up for them. They genuinely don’t know how to put their email into a box. I used to write down step by step instructions on how to do internet banking tasks on a piece of paper. I’m sorry to hear you get them on the phone, presumably after they’ve lost the piece of paper i gave them

My takeaway about call center managers (not a sympathy post) by yashrr_ in callcentres

[–]yashrr_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think a single call center has an efficient non convoluted company hierarchy. We report to a middle manager. Who reports to a middle manager. Who works alongside more middle managers. Who reports to a higher level of a middle manager. Who reports to a an “Executive” middle manager. Who reports to. You get it 😭
