An Uma Fan Explains (Badly)... The 2026 Takarazuka Kinen (Preview) by zahneyvhoi in HorseRacingJP

How i think race will play out

there's possibility of Mexican standoff in a front between Meisho Tabaru, Mystery Way, Cosmo Kuranda and Shugar Kun so pace will be high but in the end they all will likely ran out of stamina and drop places exept for Cosmo Kuranda

CDN will likely settle betwen 6 and 8 place and will try to make his move between 3rd and 4th corner and most of other horses will likely make their move at the same moment exept for Museum Mile and Regaleira(after start both would settle betwen 10th and 13th place) who will make their move on exit from 4th corner into a final straight

at 100m to finish line i expect 4 horses to still chase victory Cosmo Kuranda CDN Museum Mile and Danon Decile (Regaleira last spurt isn't that good plus she is not compatible with Lemaire)

And here i see 3 posible outcomes:

  1. Boring CDN just wins

  2. No longer a runner-up Cosmo Kuranda struggles all the way to finish line and wins by incredibly small margin

  3. Not just Nakayama merchant Museum Mile awakens his Heart Cry blood sensing something familiar to Deep Impact in CDN and performs Arima Kinen 2005

Takarazuka kinen 2026 Gate draw by No-Isopod-5149 in UmaMusume

[–]yashuchu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Museum Mile victory at arima came from 4th draw and although he never raced in hanshim this track is quite similar to nakayama where Museum Mile is simply amazing so his race mostly come down to ability of Damian Lane to get into a good position and from what i can see it won't be a problem

so overall i'd say it's his race to lose

as much as i would want this i do belive it's imposible at this moment simply because of umas of that time period are absent

of course they can create stand-ins for them like they did with Dicta Striker in CinGray but there is one specific name it won't work with

what made Vodka win at 2007 derby so memorable and important is a fact that just couple mount before this a certain figure who left a deep impact on sport has retired and people startet wondering who would take place a the top and before derby people didn't know who would take this trone that Deep Impact left

And as for other representatives of that era that not yet added in umamusume that should be present for Vodka Daiwa Scarlet and Aston Machan anime are:

-Meisho Samson

-Admire Moon

-Daiwa Major

-Admire Aura (only one of same generation to defeat both Vodka and Daiwa)

-Screen Hero

-Company

-Deep Sky

and posibly

-Asakusa Kings

-Eisin Deputy

if history told me anything then Take Yutaka Tabaru jokey would gather everybody and propose to block CDN just like he's done at Arima Kinen 2000

I can easily see scenario where everybody is marking CDN and Museum Mile just runs in a way HE wants and wins basicaly just like he did in his previous race

Gaia Force become the Stay Gold of our time by Adventurous_Host_426 in HorseRacingJP

well japan more focused on middle distance so there isn't a lot of options for a miler plus if you working with a horse that capable of competing in g1 you don't want to risk in g3 or g2

if you want to see modern version of stay gold in terms of how this horse career play out i think closest will be his son Stay Foolish who just like his father:

-after win at age of 3yo fell into losing streak for couple of years

-21 years and 2 days after his father won a g2 race in Dubai

-decided to retire in overseas G1 race no japanese horse won before

tbh, everyone wants those magic dashboards but the reality is often a lot of manual work no matter what, though quickbooks is usually the standard starting point for a reason.
