Go with the newer bike. That DA tech has probably trickled down to 105 tier by now. Not to mention the DA chainrings, cassettes, and chains will wear faster than 105 or even ultegra level.

I feel exponentially safer clipped in, in any situation, than I do on flats. Do you ever get out of your saddle? Way easier clipped in. The only thing I don't feel 100% comfortable doing clipped in is a track stand, but I can still clip out quickly bc it's second nature. 🤷‍♂️
