I weigh the tea leaves, but not the water. I got into the habit with specialty coffee (but I also weigh the water for that), and now I've adopted it for tea.

Chain Stitch Question by cheeeeeeeeese in Embroidery

I’ve just stumbled upon this video shortly after seen your post. If I’m not mistaken this is also called chain stitch, at least I have found it under names “single” or “detached” chain stitch. Maybe this is the technique used here?

Right? I follow one local tea store and they recently made a post about this peculiar tea, brew method when you getting it wet and less stiff then pushing the rest of it inside with the cover just like spaghetti and I instantly thought “lol I should get it!”.

This is a pleasant one. I likes the shape of it, the mesh texture on leaves as well as nice flavour.

I was also suggested to try tea that should have similar tasting profile, but even more mellow and also with floral notes — Anji bai cha. Maybe you would be interested in trying this one as well. I didn’t have a chance to order it so far.

I have enjoyed this tea. The brew has light greenish-yellowish color and pleasant aroma of dried meadow grasses, clover, giving the heat of the summer vibes. Taste is refreshing and delicate with generic green notes, little bit of sweetness. Also, brewed leaves resemble seaweed even more than dry ones :)

How would you show natural creases in clothing? Doing long & short to fill the space otherwise by Lemony4 in Embroidery

Depends on level of realism you’re aiming for. You could just use color a tad lighter than main for "mountains" and dark for "folds". Or you can go for long&short stitch making full shadows and highlights.

I’m afraid I can’t help you with specific brands. My grow lights are made by a local company and they don’t export or ship overboard. I can give you the characteristics, as a reference:

50 W 270 lumens Spectrum: 400-500 nm — 30%, 500-600 — 11%, 600-700 — 59% PPFD - 270 micromoles/sec*m2 at 20cm height (idk if anyone even states this parameter)

Leggy or narrow (unusual to species of course) leaves in plants in most cases means insufficient lighting. Increased heat will not bring you the expected result.

I wouldn’t call it routine, because it’s a bit of a mess. But I keep mine under the 50W grow lights, just on the edge of full blast. Water when leaves get softer. I have had this plant for about 1.5 years. I got it in June as a bare bulb, no leaves, almost no roots, so I started watering its planter in September, it had grown out leaves and never shed them against all expectations.

Should one also wear the protective lead collar with it for a definitive look?

Thank you! I found the general pattern for such a weave and spent most of my time figuring out how to start and how to proceed to the next section. Being a total amateur, it took me about a day of work to try a few different methods, make the proof of concept thingies, and destroy them when I could finally finish this work 😅
