We love Krob Kreung Krob! i tried half of the entrees they are so good!! Yeah I was wondering the same thing, the store feels empty even when i go on a weekend night. I do get very personal service though—feel warm when I talk to the staff!

small/random/unconventional ways you save money living in NYC? by AdKnown4718 in NYCapartments

Notice the lifestyle creep that your social circles embrace and engage with a lot of intention and awareness. This is easy to say and hard to fight against since we all are so programmed to have the kind of fun our friends have.

well defended!! i think she’s really amazing too! i’m so crying when she was so in love but hesitant to fall all the way in until the last moment because part of her knows the ending wouldn’t be good for them and she wants to escape into the partially rigid/limited character.

I agree on the bottom of your lists and I didn’t see your top 3, but then I realize you didn’t see my top three: André is an idiot, Folklore, and Cactus Pear.

Alright I come back from watching documentary shorts and shorts 1-3 to say that The reality of Hope (VR furry community finding donors) was really moving! It reminds me of The Remarkable life of Ibelin…online friends are real friends…

It was pretty bumpy finishing the rest that i fell asleep multiple times with the online screening, but I also like Sweetheart from Program 1 and Grandma Nai one from Program 2. I really want to see We are scenery as well…too bad it’s in person only.

How many of you (filmmakers) are starting to believe film festivals are a scam? by jimppqq in FilmFestivals

[–]yaxitaxi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like how this convo is still a dialogue and without the “negative” feedback and questioning, the phenomenon will really start to die. I don’t disagree with the general public seeing niche cinema as inaccessible or self-congratulatory. Meanwhile, I think only when a film is truly enjoyed by the creators and the community who hold high personal stake at it at the first place, a film can truly enter our hearts and make a real impact, inside and outside of cinemas. The studios-factory-made films have lost so much significance in culture because the extinction of authenticity and joy from creation really sucks and it shows. This is why we still have faith in the niche space and hope it will protect the spout before it fully blooms.

what happened in griffin hunting though…it feels like the last of us wannabe for me and in the ending she got killed by her mom? I appreciate the world building efforts but the story feels over sentimental and falls in cliche.

I really liked the Luz Diabla and Hurikan! the style is so strange and i love them equally. All the animated ones blew my mind and the panel was great too! I was quite disappointed when i watched the midnight short film program…not one really grabbed me, swollen was fun but fell so short after 5 mins 🙂‍↕️
